Rashford has been overrated for most of his career. Got away with it after the MBE for kids meals. Last season was his best ever but now back to looking fed up and don’t want to be there.
Gave him a ridiculous contract reported as 300k approx. Ferguson would have probably sold him but who’s going to pick up those wages now.
Quality goal last night though.
Must say Mainoo looks a class footballer , that’s what we need to produce.

I switched over to the Chelsea match for obvious reasons yesterday, I didn't realise Lisandro Martinez picked up a pretty nasty-looking knee injury.

"Lisandro Martínez has a sprained collateral ligament. The worst scenario was ruled out.
It is between a month and a half and two months of recovery.
You don't have to have surgery.
Good news."

I guess it's good news compared to what the outcome could've been but he's still going to miss 8-10 games.

Real shame for Martinez as only just came back from a long injury.

He also seems very important to how Ten Haag wants them to play.

Ratcliffe's press people leaking stories suggesting the government should help him fund the "Wembley of the North" for United as part of the Levelling Up agenda.

He's a Tory fave, so wouldn't be massively shocked.

That'll go down well with the likes of Everton, Liverpool and Levy etc... 😬

That kind of thing would take years of planning etc. The government don’t have a spare billion to build a stadium either. And with any luck the Tories will get wiped out at the election anyway.

Oh, completely. I'm just a bit broken and cynical after the past decade or so... 🥴🙈

Imagine there will be quite a lot of hot air to read through now Ratcliffe's in charge.

Watching United against West Ham they could make a real charge for the top 4.

With Martinez, Shaw, Casemeiro and even a resurgent Maguire they look a lot better.

It's weird with United, when they have everyone fit they are a good team, they have struggled perhaps worse than us with injuries this season.

An injury to Martinez is a massive blow, he's become one of their most important players if not the most.

Interesting to see how they do with this current setback. They have a good first 11, but their squad is weak. They could even be a real force next season if they sign the right players.

Although that's a massive if. I still wouldn't be surprised by a massive resurgence from United, Ten Haag and all.

All this becauase of the one game,?

Jesus theyve been shite this season, and are very lucky to be where they are in the table.

Hope they get a point at Villa mind

Think they have a cheek personally trying to get hand outs to fund their stadium.

They should pay for it themselves like other clubs had to (apart from the spammers of course, although they took over the stadium, not actually trying to build one).

I was just refreshing myself with Citeh’s stadium deal and Manchester council still own the 240 year lease on Citeh’s ground, Etihad dropped £150m on them for naming rights (can’t find any reference as to how long that is for) and they last paid the council £5m pa in rent.
Man U own their freehold though and also purchased loads a land around the stadium over ten years ago which would make me think the Glazers already had this option lined up years ago.
I can see them rebuilding the whole lot and going down our route as a multi functional stadium, unfortunately by going down that route I can see the government throwing a shed load of cash at them because they’ll say it’s not just a football stadium and it’ll benefit everyone.
If it happens how on earth is that fair though, two football clubs in Manchester both benefitting from government money and not being saddled with massive stadium build costs like the rest of us, surely with FFP that would give them a huge advantage?

Too right, the cheeky f*ckers.
They should ask every single one of their bandwagon jumping fans around the world to chip in the equivalent of a fiver each and call it a bandwagon tax for them all to stump up....

United finally getting a very good system in place.

Strange one imo. Thought they'd bring in someone who had experience of the role tbh. What I would say is if they do take Wilcox they'll almost certainly be doing it with the view to bringing in younger players as that's his wheel house.
