Not sure, I think they will be found wanting when they come up against Liverpool, or city. It’s Chelsea, I wouldnt be surprised if they win either or both of the cups they’re still in running for.
It’s just the way they are, no matter how shit they’ve been to still finish the season with a trophy.
I hope so…Not sure, I think they will be found wanting when they come up against Liverpool, or city.
Ornstein has said to NBC:
“The confidence inside Chelsea is high that they will remain compliant with FFP.”
What fucking calculator are they using?!

It's a shame that one of the biggest consequences of FFP and amortisation rules is that selling off your homegrown academy players is better for business than keeping them even if they're good enough to be regulars for you.Aparantly they think they will be OK if they sell lukaku broja colwell and galagher
Yes there is of course that incentive to have some club trained players over 21 so you can register a full squad. But UEFA rules are stricter than PL rules there and they have enough English trained players that they probably won't fall foul of PL rules. They might well not have a full 25 man squad in UEFA competitions should they reach one of them though, but then we've also not had that for at least one of our European seasons. Will the potential sale of homegrown players affect their squad quotas? Meaning they'd be paying even more of a premium to replace them? Or do they have the numbers to make it up already? Forgive my ignorance on the matter.

Sounds like they use the same people as Donald Trump to make up numbersThe one that gives you the numbers you're looking for
the Numberwang 3000.What fucking calculator are they using?!
I suspect that this is a Chelsea briefing designed to avoid the scenario people have outline before where clubs decline to buy their unwanted players as they don’t wish to ‘save’ Chelsea. They may be ok but only if they make considerable sales of HG or fully amortised players, and for that to happen at or above market value they need buying parties to think Chelsea have some leverage in the deal.Ornstein has said to NBC:

They tried to sell them in January. Don't see how it will be any different in the first couple of weeks of the Summer window unless the price tags drop significantly, and not just because they'll have less time on their contracts. It'll need to be a fire sale imo.Aparantly they think they will be OK if they sell lukaku broja colwell and galagher

Whilst that is true, it is also true that having academy players make the grade is still the cheapest way to build a squad. The Chelsea situation isn't entirely unique... I think it's just extreme and is throwing more light on the rules than should be normal. It's a shame that one of the biggest consequences of FFP and amortisation rules is that selling off your homegrown academy players is better for business than keeping them even if they're good enough to be regulars for you.
Lukaku will be off to Saudi I reckon. He’s already making positive noises about it.Lukaku is on around £325k a week with 2 years left on his contract this summer. I can't see them getting a much better deal than finding a club to take him on a free.
But it's Chelsea, so there's every chance Liverpool and City morph into 2007 Derby County for a day.Not sure, I think they will be found wanting when they come up against Liverpool, or city.
They paid 97m for Lukaku. They'll be lucky to get 25m for him. That doesn't help FFP one bit.
