Porro has improved throughout the season and is a miss but I have no problems with Emerson, he'll be fine.

Davies for Udogie is an interesting one as Udogie has not been at his best in the last few games but his pace is vital defensively. I'm sure Davies will be fine with VDV behind him.

Other than that there is only 2 positions up for grabs, RW (Deki, Werner or Johnson) and the 8 (Sarr or Bentancur).

Bissouma and Son back in.

I'd go Kulusevski and Bentancur, Sarr deserves his place but I want to see a midfield of Bissouma Bentancur and Maddison.

Sarr will play 100%. Its either Bissouma or Bentancur.

I can see us not conceding with a strong defence. We will lose some offensive power but make up for it in defensive power. I think we will have enough quality to win this game. The battle will be won in midfield. Win the midfield battle, then we definitely win this one.

Probably, just my preference.

If he does play (Sarr) its got to be with Bissouma.

Bentancur is not back to his best yet, but when he is, and if Bissouma gets back to his early season form then Sarr misses out for me.

He's an excellent player with amazing potential, but he's not reached Bentancur (under Conte) or Bissouma (early season form) levels.

Not that he won't in the future.

Theyre all a bit different really.

But Sarr is unique and we dont have anyone who will cover the ground, with insane energy, like he does.

One of the firsr names on the team sheet for me.

I think both Royal and Davies would be fine if you was to ask them to play a traditional full back role where they don’t come in field and get the ball on the half turn but this is completely different.

Yeah, it is what matches the system, it explains our links with Gallagher as well.

An 8 who covers so much ground is important in this system.

I've always loved a technical player though and it's hard to imagine a more technical midfield than Bissouma, Bentancur and Maddison. That's my Sven esque preference, get your best players on the pitch.

The team would probably be more functional with Sarr in it. There is an argument that we would look our best with Bentancur, GLC and Maddison. I still think the Villa game was our best performance this season despite our loss.

Great problems to have though and it's a long way from when we had to play Sissoko every game.

Sarr has been our best midfielder this season and coming off a good game and a goal. The questions are actually around Bentancur and Bissouma so Sarr starts for me with one of them. I'd go Bissouma and allow Bentancur more time to recover properly with limited minutes.

Who’s suggesting not starting Sarr?
Get out now!!!
Blasphemy.

He’s the glue, the engine, Sarr must start.

Wonder if Ange goes back to his Australia formation of 3-4-2-1?

Dragusin Romero VDV as a back 3

All the talk is of Emerson & Ben as full backs nobody mentions Radu , I have read he has played in all four postions of a conventional back four , Ange doesn't play a convential back four so could Radu step in to one of those full back postions, he would add height and pace.

Didn't have Bentancur so doesn't count for me. We have always had at least one (or two) players missing this season I think.
Last game we pretty much did, just Lo Celso missing but likely allowed him the extra week knowing we had enough players back

No Sessegnon and no Solomon?
More referring to the first team. Sess is like 3rd choice or probably even 4th as Emerson likely starts left back ahead of him. Soloman is a good option but very much a squad player in this moment. Brighton was the first game where we had our best first team players available. None of the ones who were out are going to be starting. It's been a crazy season though on the injury front.

We're thinking differently then. I'm thinking the ENTIRE squad. We haven't had the whole squad to pick from for various reasons.
