I won't be surprised if Alli is the one the Talksport gammons all go mental about after we inevitably fail to win the World Cup. At least it'll mean Sterling will get a break from it, I guess...
I'm not actually watching, had a feeling this was going to happen all week. I'm normally quite positive (i.e. detached) on here, but only Spurs could manage to have a "great" season, and finish it in this crushingly disappointing way.
It's a personal thing, but I can't ever be bothered with football "banter", as it's pretty transient and always comes back to bite you on the arse.
Any Gooner I know worth their salt would simply draw my attention to the 1995-2015 period.
It's not pessimistic or defeatist to acknowledge that Dortmund are currently several levels above us.
We're on the right track with this excellent young squad, and things could still get very exciting in the PL, but we're at least a couple of years off being able to live with a team like this.
If we'd played the "first eleven", there is absolutely every chance we'd still be losing 1-0.
Dortmund are extremely good. They'd probably be 10-12 points clear in the PL this season. At home, they get all over teams from the first minute, and they're pretty much the best team in the world at...
I don't know if it's right to think of it in terms of which is "best". It's more what's needed for different games, against teams with different approaches.
I'm well happy we've drawn them.
I want to see how we get on against teams like this, as next season we're probably going to be (censored due to not wanting to tempt fate)...
I was in Dortmund for a night in September, on a match day (sadly couldn't attend). The sea of luminous yellow at the...
He's young and shows every sign that he's going to become a very good player.
He didn't play particularly well yesterday, but after such a lengthy lay-off and sporadic selection that's hardly surprising.
Of course there's loads of games to go and we still might finish 6th or whatever, but I'm excited by what I see every week. The organisation, the fitness levels, the confidence, the spirit. For me what is actually happening is as, if not more, exciting than what might happen.
Excellent. A real spirit and steel to this team.
If I didn't have 126,734 better things to do, I'd go back and read some of the ridiculously dramatic posts from half-time.
It's the same every January - this is our best chance to get into the Top 4 so we HAVE TO ACT NOW etc... etc...
Charlie Austin is so obviously not a Poch-type signing, and if he is on 100k a week then he's best avoided.
We can post all we like about what we should and shouldn't be doing, who...
I don't really go any more because of the increasingly off-putting cost*numpties interaction.
But I always remember a guy I used to sit near (Block 35) when we had Pascal Chimbonda (first time around I think) who, whenever Chimbonda would do anything - like ANYTHING at all, good or bad -...
