FC Porto know they've lost an opportunity to make big money off a sale of this guy.
This story came 2-3 years too late.

quite like him tbh from what I have seen but big fee, no PL experience, 28 yrs old plus our innate ability to destroy previously decent players would worry me

If true and we can afford him yes please his quick built for the EPL and a prolific goal scorer. Regardless of age goals wins games he could be the difference plus he'll be good rotation for Kane

Pretty sure Levy will not spend £20m (suggested value) on this player, after soldado....too old for Levy's plans, poch./ mitchell also wants younger players who can work to the high pressing game consistently. But we do need a striker with experience for Harry to work with. Porto are a selling club, and would love to take £20m off us for this 28 /29 yr old, as they have had there moneys worth from him.. but a 26 yrs old ST will be better...

So we shouldn't go for anyone who finished behind Messi and Ronaldo. The way I see it that leaves us with 2 options.

Levy isn't going to be spending 20 million on any player this off season. That leaves us with lot's of cheap options. If you can't see that fact then dream on.

They don't usually win games when you have a shit defence like ours.

Duplicate post as it isn't possible to delete it, I'll make it a bit different.

I think you will find that Soldado finished third best striker behind a guy called Messi and one called Ronaldo the season before he joined us. Fat lot of good that's done us.
I am not in any way saying we should go for him, I am simply amazed by the members who seem to have no clue this player even existed.

Not knocking your original post. A player if quality no doubting but he won't be coming to WHL imo.

Contrary to popular opinion I could actually see this one in a player plus cash deal with Soldado going the other way.

£20m+, never played in EPL, 28 years old....I think we've seen this movie before.
Next?

So every player who's 28 year old and never played in the Premiership, that we happen to pursue, isn't worthwhile? That's what you're trying to say right!

20 mil, yer 5mil upfront and the rest in performance related ad-on's (they'll get the other 15 if we win the league and he scores 30 goals)

I think the 20m at the start of that sentence is the important bit.

Personally I'd say he's worth looking at, especially with the way deals are structured these days.
