we have to by a few players in January bcos we are very limited in terms of options. The only player that we could bring off the bench to change the game was Campbell. We'll definitely need more options in January bcos as it comes to the end of the season, players could be tired and all that.

i can't see us going down now - i thought it was a definite possibility at the beginning of the season.

I think that the last few games have shown us that, although Juande wasn't getting the most out of his squad, he wasn't failing with the top 5 side that we all thought we had.

I think the results against Everton and Newcastle show that we're a long way from being a good side at the moment. A few of us were getting a bit carried away (me included) and looking up the table but the reality of the situation is that we are some way from being safe and unless we take 6 points from the next two games we'll be in alot of trouble.

And if, as we've been led to believe, we'll only be allowed loan players, then I think it could be a bit of a struggle to the end of the season because there are quite a few gaps to fill.

Just to clear up this myth about Modric not being able to play in a 4-4-2. He can play left midfield, centre midfield or support striker. So you can forget about that theory.

Our thin (ish) squad is really starting to get picked apart now. Which is why we really need to act fast in January (although i reckon we already have a couple of deals lined up now.) Its all well and good looking over the course of the next several games, but if we add to the squad we have in early January, then we'll probably have a different outlook on those games in January. Next weekend is so important. And although we should be looking to win both games, i'd be happy with 4 points. Just because we're talking about 2 games in 3 days. Its going to be tough for every team next weekend to take 6 points. So 4 points would probably put us in a healthy enough position for the new year.

I think we have to take into account how many more games we're playing compared to the other teams down there. Apart from shitty, how many of them are in Europe & the Carling?

Our job has been tougher so far, but with our larger bank balance in January I'd like to think we'll be fine.

Thats a good point. We tend to be the only team outside the top 6 who really seem to take every Cup competition seriously. I'd much rather be in the situation we are than any other team below 8th place. Plus we have much more chance of silverware and Europa qualification than Newcastle anyway. And we seem to struggle a lot more after a midweek game, which is understandable when the team is getting stretched.

Agree 100% with this, our first eleven is a match for most teams in the prem, however, as was the case yesterday, when we get a few injuries and suspensions, our options then become very limited, especially with regards to the substitutions available to harry during a game.

I would expect harry to sign players in january who could give him more options from the bench. it does make you wonder what Ramos and comoli were upto in letting so many decent squad players go during the summer.

i think this is a bit harsh saying we're a long way from being a good side. I was at the Everton game and thought we didnt play to badly and that Everton were lucky with there goal, Newcastle also apperared to get the benefit of lady luck yesterday.

6 points needed from the next two games. Clearly. Losing at home against Fulham is a horrible worst case scenario. If we can get 6 points and then let Harry do some deals in the transfer window, we'll be fine. But 2 massive games coming up.

Fulham need a good seeing to. And WBA sent back to reality after their city win. Massive games for Spurs alright. Win those and we can stop worrying too much. After that it'll be back to the cups and glory.
