I've played on surfaces like that a couple of times before, it's probably the most fun I've ever had on a football pitch!

Agree - great fun. Diving headers in the snow was always good fun as well.

The big question for Europe is who from pot 1 gets France (watch it be Norway).

I am certain that this will happen.

I'm sure FIFA would love it to happen. Then again, even if France get Spain, they can happily come second and get seeded in the play-offs, handballs allowed.

Yeah, I'm still bitter. :(

Hardest draw for England - France, Belgium, Poland, Finland and Wales?

And ummm.... Wales too but alas I don't gold out much hope for our boys!

Is that genuinely the hardest draw we can get?

I say this as someone who thinks England are shit (and doesn't really care) but that's still not a strong group.

Well France are undoubtedly the hardest in pot 2 and in pot 3 I'd say it's between Belgium and Switzerland with both possessing great youth which in 3 years time will be looking in great shape with Belgium having a great spine of their side of Courtois, Kompany, Hazard and Lukaku.

Don't get me wrong I'm sure England could fuck it up, but if that is genuinely the hardest group that a European team can get I think it'll be a bit of a cakewalk for the top seeds.

Having said that it will be very interesting to see how Belgium do. Alot of very good young players over there at the moment.

You always fancy Engalnd to qualify and it's just expected that they do so I agree with you on that aspect, mind you I really don't know how Norway are top seeds and Greece are just living off their Euro 2004 co-efficient surely?!

Norway are top seeds? What is that based on?

Yes Steffen Iversen was awesome but surely not that awesome?

They're like 9th in the FIFA rankings. Crazy I know, but they kind of have a habit of winning a lot. They've been decent in the qualifiers recently and have some friendly wins against Germany, Portugal and another big team.

Scotland, Wales and Belgium. Top seeds will want to avoid that group

Ireland got Kazakstan and Faroes. Not bad

Group A wide open. Scotland might have the best chance they've had in a while.
