Dragusin (CB)
Gallagher (CM)
Jota (AM)

In Jan and we are back in the title race imo.

But doubt we’d sign all 3, probably just a CB and well then try to scrape 4th/5th.

Would be refreshing if we signed a CB, CM and AM this Jan and the CB and AM both in the first week, that would be the dream window.

Lets see if lessons have been learnt from previous times under the bald eagle.
brother...you know we'll get a good CB - if we're lucky - and that'll be it and we'll be told to be happy with that

I think we all know how we operate in transfer windows, its not going to have changed. Aims and targets may be made on what we need and what would help the team but in the end the decisions are made on a financial basis. If a deal is even slightly overpriced then it aint happening, no matter how desperate we are for a player.

Someone will have to negotiate pretty well to not overpay in January so I would be very surprised if we got any more than 1 permanent and maybe 1 stop gap on loan.

Where I hold out hope is that in previous recent Januarys we’ve signed Bentancur & Kulu and then Porro.

Also Jota would be on a free if it’s possible for him to be released.

It goes without saying but we're in much better shape than I thought we would be a month ago. Some of it has been uncomfortable but with all the problems we've had we've put ourselves in a fantastic position. Bentancur back ahead of schedule (and hopefully he was prescribed a certain number of minutes today and wasn't taken off unexpectedly), a new CB probably incoming, hopefully Micky back for United...

Our starting 11 can beat anyone in the league.

We can challenge for the title if we can stay relatively injury-free and add a couple of players in January.

Just need to get the injury curse lifted for the second half of the season.

Very exciting and close at the top of the league. Liverpool and City have to be the favourites based on current form and recent history but it’s theoretically wide open. If we can make it to February still in the mix then anything can happen.

3 points of the top going into the new year with Ange having to patch the squad together the past few months is impressive stuff.

Mad how many injuries we've had this season so far.

Over training, poor warm up or just bad luck?

We’ve gone from being one of the most passive teams in the league to one of the most pro-active. Players were always going to struggle with fatigue. I’m not sure the injuries are down to this though, we aren’t alone in suffering a lot of injuries this season.

If Arsenal are in the title race, then surely with only 1 point behind them we have to be as well, no?
Couldn't give a fuck what people are saying about arsenal. I am just happy we are up there albeit with a seriously depleted squad. What will be will be - let's concentrate on our games and getting the results.

I think City will now go on one of their long run of games winning every week. But the fact we are effectively tied at New Year's should inspire us to match whatever they can do.

I remember the last full Pochettino season. We were more or less neck and neck with City and Liverpool at halfway but then had a real fall in the second half of the season falling to 4th. The CL masked that and we had injuries then too but that cycle of the Poch team was coming to an end and felt it. We are only just getting started with Ange and these players.

My point is the media and the like are including them in the race when we're just one point behind with a myriad of injuries.

Ange was expected to fail miserably due to his CV and is selling Kane one day before the first league game. We're showing everyone up at the moment.

I get your point 👍 Happy for us to be left out of the conversation and let the pressure keep getting applied to the others.

I don't normally get too invested in transfer windows for the current season as many players take time to settle in anyway. But quite a few of our recent signings have made an impact quickly.

A centre back and central midfielder and we'll be strong for top 4. I can't see us going the step further and challenging for the title, but you never know.

We only have 2 league matches in January so we have time to get players back from injury and hopefully get back to our start of season form.

With Ange and a couple of key additions in January and with our best 11 playing most games (hopefully) in the 2nd half of the season I think we are better than Le Arse and Villa. So we should get 3rd.

I think Man Shitty 1st and Liverfool 2nd but next season we could be on 😜

What do we do against Burnley on Friday? I think we are in with a chance of winning the FA cup, but do we try some of the kids and rest a couple of key players? Two weeks off to get people fit after that game, and hopefully we’ve regrouped and got the likes of VDV, Cuti and Maddison back for United.

adversity builds winners. We have been through it this season injuries, suspensions, club and lets be honest league legend leaving without a direct replacement and we are still in touching distance. Why not dream.
