All the clubs chasing top places will drop points somewhere, tonight either Villa or Chelsea, tomorrow us or the other mob , Manure & Newcastle can't both get max points as they play each other , so unless we completely collapse Europa League should be the minimum we get.

Who was saying man u was going to catch us and we could even finish the season in 7th or 8th? Own up you wet wipes! :ROFLMAO:
I thought they might catch us. I didn't expect them to drop points today. I still fear we will get very little from the next 4 games and will be desperate to beat Burnley after that. Hoping we surprise me and they and Newcash continue to drop points.

Top four now within our control.

Although need to beat the best 3 teams on thr league to bridge that gap, so typical eh!

Just gotta do what we can and hope Villa have another slip up or two.

Brighton are awful but may yet surprise, Liverpool will be tough for them. Palace away no gimme either. In amongst that they have ECL to concentrate on too. You never know.

Fifth it will be and I think that is about right.

I’d rather give the Europa League a good go, with more opportunity for rotation/blooding in youngsters, than play six games in the Champions League.

That might just be me, though

Not just you, I'm there too. We should be ready the season after next. Top 4 next season. Champs 🏆 2025/2026.

Villas next game is against brighton who are in absolutely shocking form, one win in 9 in the league and only 6 points out of a possible 27.

i know they have had injuries but brightons season has been really poor, especially given how highly rated de zerbi was. Shows how things can change quickly in football.

4th is completely out the question, as I said a few weeks ago, I just hope we can hang onto 5th.

Need minimum a draw away to Chelsea to stop this run of losses.

We get 5th mate, I understand the negativity at the moment given what’s happened.

We should beat Burnley at home and an already relegated Sheffield United away on the last day of the season, they’ve conceded the most goals ever in a prem season.
Plus the teams behind us are as inconsistent as us.

But yes it’ll definitely be nice to pick up some points against Chelsea and Liverpool.

I’m honestly not being negative I just think the following results could very plausibly happen and I said the same thing a few weeks ago:

•Arsenal - Lose ✅
•Chelsea away - lose - we never get anything there and they played very well last match and palmer is back
•Liverpool away - Lose - they don’t look great but again we rarely get anything there
•Burnley home - draw - they could still be fighting for their lives and they’re giving everyone a game right now
•City home - lose - it’s city, they’re bound to beat us at our gaff sooner or later and they’re going for the title business end of season when they usually don’t drop many points at all
•Sheff away - win - if we don’t win this one we don’t deserve any European football

So 4-6 points more max. If it’s just 4 then we could slip to 6th.

That’s the thing we’d only need 6 should the others behind us win all their games, Newcastle can only get to 65 points.
Burnley were lucky yesterday against a terrible Man United.
I’m very confident we get at least 6 points.

Also 6th is Europe aswell.

Plus Newcastle and Man United play each other, Man United also play Arsenal.

We’ll be alright but I definitely understand the frustration and nervousness.
