I am here to answer your question  Actually, all i read in the newspapers was that he doesn't agree with this high prise and that it should be much less, but he is not the person to tell it.
Today Berbatov received his award in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and stated that he will establish a foundation which will support young talented children from all fields. Because "many people have helped me and I feel that i can do the same with the children because they are the future of the country".

As far as Arnaut is concerned, Berbatov said that if he wants to tell her something, he will do it directly to her, not through the media.

 Thank you Gaby! :hello:

Re Arnaut, I think he probably did, but thankfully he's moved on now.

LOL that he gave them his "dirty" Spurs shirt from Saturday cos he "didn't have time to wash it"!

The club would be silly to turn down 40M pounds for Berbatov and if an overseas club are willing to pay that amount of money for him we should sell him. With that money and our transfer budget for the close season we can improve the overall team. Robbie Keane is the enigma in all of this for me, his such a cleaver player and could partner a suitable profiled replacement.

Berbatov is a wonderful player 'don't get me wrong' but IMO his not the most crucial player in the team for me... that is still Ledley King a new goal keeper and a left winger.

Goal scoring has never been the problem at this club.

Seems to me this is all waffle. What is almost certain is that Berbatov will leave before his contract is up and it won't be for anywhere near £40m. Those who seriously think that's going to happen are in dreamland. That is a figure plucked out of the air by Levy to drive his price up, and that alone. Any level-headed person who really looks at the situation, the noises that have been made, and filters out the journo speak can surely see this. Shame that horrible 'heart' thing gets in the way.

The reports of £27m are far more realistic. We protest far too much that we are not a selling club, when that's exactly what we are. It's just that in recent years we haven't had anyone that good and injury-free enough for any of the big clubs to actually want them. We sold Carrick, Sheringham, Gascoigne, Waddle, all key players for us, when enough money was on the table and I firmly believe Anderton and King would have gone if it wasn't for their woeful injury records. Really don't see how this is any different.

I don't want him to go and I too firmly believe the journos are just making this stuff up, but only because they can as the sale of Berbatov will, in fact, be the likely outcome. Seriously, how often do we have a player of that value that we can actually sell? I just pray it doesn't happen right before the start of next season and we have the time to bed someone in.

I think if he wants to go and we get 40 million there's no discussion really.
I'd be amazed if we got that much but Levy managed to screw 6 million out of Boro for Mido, so you never know.

If Berba does go, I think it will make our need for a top drawer, creative central midfielder even more urgent. Obviously we'd need to replace him with a striker but we are not likely to find anyone close to Berba in terms of creativity. When he drops deep and effortlessly picks out other players' runs I always think 'if only we had a midfielder who could do that'.

Berbs is far more iimportant to us than King - how many games has King played in the past 2 seasons?

Berbs is our best player and most important player

he's unhappy at spurs and him and his agent are sniffing around the Italian clubs. We'll get £25-£30m and move on. If we found Berbatov through our scouting bods then we can find another one. He'll be sulking on the bench for long periods at his new club, so why should we care!!!

players like Berbatov only come to the Lane every so often (the last of his calibre was Ginola) - the idea that our scouts can easily find another one is not something I go along with

...you're probably right. like the Carrick period i think most people come to the conclusion that if the player isn't happy, wants CL footy, is given £30k more a week by another club and we get +£20m for him then it'll be regretable but inevitable. we probably wont see his like again for a while but i trust Ramos to get in a decent replacement.

yep bb - if the player is unhappy then by all means shift him out - I don't know what Berbs wants - maybe even he doesn't

similarly with Carrick there are various stories as to why he left - I don't know the full story - what we do know was the money was good - so I was happy with the deal - but I'd have preferred Carrick to stay if he wanted to

I think you have to be an idiot to sell Berba for anything that's not silly money, and I don't consider £40m to be silly money for Berba.

:eek:mg::eek:mg:

Really, you dont???

And what planet do you reside on exactly?
