Well that was the best we played with or without Sissoko and he didn't even mess it up when he came on for the last few minutes. I understand the frustration, but if everyone else played that well all the time even Sissoko would look OK.

Think hes improved alot lately. Keeping it simple, bringing better players into the game. Good on him. You can tell dele thinks he's pants though - never passes to him when we're on the break!

And that's exactly what I'm talking about.
If Dele is 'consciously thinking' about not passing to Sissoko...then that immediately signifies that our fluid play breaks down and we don't play with the same sharpness and incision.

We play 'consciously'.

I know what I'm talking about. I doing this for a living.

If every player has confidence in playing with every other player around them...then you get a performance like we did tonight.

Blimey. It's a no-brainer.
I'm just calling it as it is.

My first ever thread.
I didn't realise we couldn't raise issues that were on our minds.
I thought everything I posted was absolutely valid.
Are people really that precious? Maybe I'm in the wrong place.
No ones saying you can't express your opinion, but if everyone started a thread for every daft thought they had, the site would be a complete mess, pretty much everything you've posted has already been brought up and raised by someone else in the player thread.
This thread is completely unnecessary.

Also stop using the phrase 'calling it how it is', you're not, you're calling it how you see it.

Don't worry.
That's my first and last contribution.
I'm not experienced as to how everything works on here.
I saw something I thought worthy of discussion.
I said throughout that it was just my opinion.

But I've obviously over-stepped my mark. Or according to you guys 'a moronic thread'.

I'll go back to other sports forums where discussion seems more accepted. .

The reactions to this post and the sheep like mentality of people bandwagoning against the op is more embarrassing than this thread ever could be.

Within minutes of this being posted there was a flood of responses from people who I imagine were praying they would get the opportunity to use this win against United to lord themselves over anybody daring to share a thought that wasn’t 100% positive.

Some of you need to have a word with yourself about point scoring on the internet, it’s like a playground here sometimes and I am not just saying this to be contrarian, just because we played fantastically tonight doesn’t mean we can’t speak about these things suddenly, this whole “just enjoy the win ffs” stuff is as pathetic as people wanting Poch out after a few draws, this is a forum for discussion is it not?

Yes we beat United, it was impressive, people are still allowed to make observations however.

The OP was just trying to make a point (a valid one imo) yes it didn’t really require it’s own thread and should have just been in the Sissoko one I can agree with that completely but some of you are acting like he is commiting a criminal act against the player by stating an opinion.

It seems people will find any excuse to get on a good circle jerk bandwagon against a poster on here sometimes, why can’t you address the posters points rather than just ignoring his points and laying into him because you are feeling overly sensitive about the player he is criticising?

It’s like a bloody cult sometimes, to the point where I can predict EXACTLY as I post this who will give me what ratings LOL.

Sissoko is going to end up with a Champion League winners medal this season.
He doesn't care about threads like this.

I get the gist of where OP is coming from but we have had fine performances with Sissoko too to be fair.

I'm not enamored by him but also have tended to avoid criticising because it's a tedious circle. However Newport was the straw that broke the camel's back because against a League 2 side he was absolutely brutal.

Despite that I accept Poch values him and at some point again we are going to count on him. It's down to him to reciprocate - more performances like the one at the Bernabeu will get me back on side.

He has been getting a lot of minutes due to our injuries.

Wanyama, Winks and Dembele have all been injured at stages.

Then Toby (+Davinson suspension) out means Dier sometimes has to play CB.

Dont give up.It was a well written and thought out thread and anyone with a half a football brain would agree with it
You didn't slag him off in fact you pointed out his good points, unfortunately he does slow things down and even those who didnt like your post would probably agree with it.
Its not a sin to make an observation that critiques players and I would urge you to continue to give views that you feel strongly about and not worry if some people dont agree. From my own observations the majority of Spurs supporters would support your view.

He got more positive ratings then negative? Is everyone who gave him a positive rating part of a cult aswell? Or just people with differing opinions?

The "just enjoy the win ffs" is because I personally support Tottenham because I enjoy it and love the club and so I can't understand people who decide to see the worst in all situations, but you're right, people can support spurs however they want and all power to OP.

Btw people didn't react badly because he criticised sissoko, you may have noticed that already happens a lot, but it was because we just won a huge game and the first thing someone decided to come out with was a dig at one of our players. But as I said each to their own, just expect people may not always react positively, I mean I got spammed with neg ratings for saying I still hold a grudge against rose, who fucking cares?

btw, I made the same mistake not long after I joined and the thread got locked quickly. just learn the etiquette - there are player threads for everybody.
