Mate, it was to be, because you created awareness about your best mate and his tragic passing.

I never knew him, and we've never met, yet here - north of Copenhagen - some random dane sent a thought to his family, his friends and to you in the 10th minute watching on TV.

So, it was to be. Be proud.

Thanks everyone for the kind words. I’m sat here writing the eulogy. I’m 3 pages in and barely feel like I’ve scratched the surface. Yesterday was what it was and I’m concentrating on the positives it created now.

As I wheeled him around in his wheelchair days before he passed we spotted a poster on the wall of the hospice about the London Marathon fundraising. I told him maybe I should use my ballot place for raising money for the hospice. He approved. So here we are.
