did I just read that Lennon in a 4-4-2 is the best winger in the league? and it went unchallenged? this thread has officially jumped the shark.

Lennon has been in good form recently, hence why you didn't visit this thread for about 6 weeks...

He has been non existent the last two games however (when you returned to the thread coincidentally ;))
have you seen me anywhere else on this forum in that time? if not, then your point is invalid.

What does he bring to the side nowadays?

You know, apart from not taking on his marker, passing backwards to Walker, not being able to cross after 8 years of trying and having the shooting power of a child?

He's the italian tank of wingers these days, going backwards fast metaphorically as well as physically during the game

The epitome of a headless chicken. Who can't cross the ball.

Bad call from Sherwood. Chadli should have replaced him at half time. Woeful game for Lennon.

No idea why he was so central a lot of the time either.

I used to watch Lennon taking on players for fun at WHL and he's always been my first player in the team sheet whenever he's fit. Now, he seems to have lost his balls and afraid of taking on players. A big wake up call for him. Hopefully? We can get lamela or Townsend fit again to give Arron a big slap

Same ol same ol 1 or 2 good games a season for the last however many years and he still gets picked and still injured loads even though can't shoot or cross shame really could of been an amazing winger if he would look up and cross properly

Probably as pissed off at this farce as the rest of us, he's also been bushwacked by the owner's prentence of future thinking and ambitions...

There where reasons I didn't have him in my proposed pre-game team today, and it's just sad to see TS using his preferred players Redknapp-style no matter what...

We need to bite the bullet and simply say, when Lamela is fit he plays, irrespective. We need to see what the potential of Lamela will materialise into and not keep relying upon Lennon's usual MO, he has been the same for years.

Worryingly, for a wide player, the most league goals he has ever got has been 5, once - and yet Theo Walcott is apparently a shit Aaron Lennon, bless us.

Watch out the pro-lennonites are out and will call you a fair weather fan for saying that.

Yes he provides width and look so much better when he plays.
Please let them try and defend today or Wednesday.
Time to bench and give Chadli a run if lamelas not fit.
How Chad didnt get on today is a joke.
