Apparently they've agreed a fee with two other clubs. Saying he has joined is a bit pre-emptive.

From the report

"The Reds have agreed a fee with Cardiff City to bring talented teenager Aaron Ramsey to Old Trafford.

The 17-year-old left-sided midfielder has yet to agree personal terms and must pass a medical before the deal can be completed.

A statement from the club confirmed:

"Manchester United is delighted to announce it has agreed terms with Cardiff City for the transfer of Aaron Ramsey subject to contract terms being agreed and the player passing a medical."

So Cardiff have agred on the price and given Man Utd permission to speak to Ramsey, nothing more.

It ought to be understood that not every club refuses to make an official statement until it's complete like Tottenham Hotspur, this is light years from where it needs to be for us to make an official statement.
It may be true it may not but it certainly ain't a done deal.

If he's got the opportunity to go to Man Utd or A.N. Other top Premiership side he'll go to Utd surely - if the other clubs in for him are all "top Premiership sides" as it says on Cardiff's site, he's unlikely to get regular first team footie straight away at any of the clubs, which would be the only reason he *wouldn't* sign for Man Utd imo. As I see it, Man Utd might have only agreed a fee for him with Cardiff at the moment, but I cannot see him not joining them.

As much as it pains me to say it this kid is gonna be something special, I really wanted us to go for him, but we've not been linked so I'm hoping he joins utd rather than the arse. I actually can't beleive arsenal have bid for him - he's not french!

Why would he go to the arse, they really ain't that much of a drw any more, even Walcott said it was because Henry was there that he went.
Don't forget also that there's no David Dein anymore the power that he had in the FA and uefa through the G14 was huge.

Look this is far from done. Apparently their is another team which could be us!! for all we know. I would like Man utd to be regected now, simply because of the way they make it sound like its a done deal (he can go if the other club aint us!!)

It's as good as done. A 17 year old kid ain't gonna turn United down, I doubt we're even interested.

I think there might be a Man U reserve keeper going the other way on loan. Part of the agreement so I'm told.

Chelsea yes, they have a million midfielders and their youth NEVER gets a chance.

Barca - well the lad was still in school and has his head screwed on, no way would he go to spain.

Ramsey's situation is very different. He will be at United by the end of the week.

This.

People who think he'd go to us (if we were in for him) rather than Utd are in dreamland.

United, as far as I'm aware, never had a bid accepted by Southampton in the summer.

Everton have also had a bid accepted, according to teletext this morning. Are Arsenal another club who've had a bid accepted?
I think out of them, he'd join United. Giggs will have a word in his ear!
