ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND POUNDS A WEEK.

More than any Spurs player has ever been paid by the club.

The wage disparity between ManU/City/Chelsea/Arsenal/Liverpool and the rest is insane.

It's only gonna get worse in a year when the cl money doubles, 5th will go from £30m behind 4th to £60m. That's why utd aren't afraid to spend big, not making cl this year is massive

Of course its massive Utd will get back amongst it again as they spend Big and wisely but thats the problem we will always face being near or on the edge of all that.
Some will say that the stadium if We ever get it will let us compete but its years away and by that time we might be even further behind from the best teams.
Like Ive mentioned before it dont piss me off anymore as I have grown accustomed to Fuck ups and spectacular failures its just common place still coys.

Why? It's not (I assume) your money? I don't get this obsession many Spurs fans have with how much is paid for a player. If they're good players, and Lallana is very good, then as a supporter that's all that matters to me. I'm sure Liverpool are really worried about us sniggering at them for actually identifying a player they want and buying them.

Except Lallana isn't a player we really need (we have a couple that can fit into his mold) while that 25 M can go to real pressing needs in the squad. We don't have 100 M to drop on a few players, it's more likely in the range of 30-50 M, and spending 25 on one player that really won't noticeable improve us is a bad idea.

100% agree. For us, there is an opportunity cost of every pound we spend - we're not Chelsea or City, we have to think about the relative merits of spending more on one player because it impacts on the players we can get elsewhere.

I know that for some this seems a bit too 'business like', but the reality is that when you have to balance the books, which we do, there has to be a significant element of this. Otherwise you run the risk of imploding financially and crippling yourself.

does this mean saints wont sell anyone else? Lovren?

Far from it. Their ITK has been pretty adamant several more to follow, and Lovren and Schneiderlin are gone without question.

They will be fighting relegation if they aren't careful. They will have to throw money at some players to get them to join.

If they get Tadic to replace Lallana, then I think they are actually upgrading. Pelle has a very good record for the last 2 years and I think he is a late bloomer like Lambert, so that could also be a good piece of business. There are a lot of good LB's that are as good as Shaw is now (but don't have his potential) that they can go for. Lovren and Schneiderlin will be very difficult to replace though.

Good... Didn't want him in the first place... Decent player. But i remember some ref commenting that he change a lot ever since he got his England call up.

Massively over price, man utd and Liverpool juz spoilt the market for us.
