Very, very bad article. As previously mentioned by someone, the ACN will make it exceptionally difficult to ship him out even if we wanted to. Added to the fact anyone selling us a replacement will add 'ACN desperation tax' and it's just too many negatives stacking up.
Togo are not going to qualify. They have to beat Ghana tomorrow to have a shot. Not happening. So we'll be stuck with the twat this winter as no one will take him and his absurdly high wages and terrible attitude.

Thank god we've still got "20k a week, heart on his sleeve, goal a minute" Poor Bobby then eh?

Soldado is probably on or close to the same wages. The difference is Soldado doesnt have a shitty attitude and he actually puts in effort.

Soldado is at least putting the effort in, despite it not quite happening for him.

Really? I think people are seeing what they want to see here. Did he actually do anything against Villa after Ade went off other than pick a fight with Benteke? (Full marks for pluck there!)

However, I thought it very wrong of Pochettino not to give him a run-out gainst Tripolis. Poor Bobby.

Well seeing as how Ade rarely gets in the box as well, there is no advantage there.

Still far more times than Soldado...

One, even in a bad run of form, looks like he might pop up with the odd goal. The other though just doesn't look like he will ever stick the ball in the back of the net again (Cup games against lowly opposition aside). Bit of an advantage when we talk about strikers.

As much as I like the style and attitude of Soldado neither are playing any where near there potential and I wouldn't be sad to see either go. I didn't fancy Bony in the Summer but I think he would be a great addition now. Him and a pacy forward like lacazette would be perfect.

He's become allergic to the penalty area though, even Adebayor at his worst has that advantage on him...

Just goes to show what a fucking idiotic decision it was not to buy or loan a forward this summer. I can't believe so many people thought that our strike force was good enough.

Yes, he puts the effort in. On and off the pitch. He has all the desire you'd want for a player. He's not scoring but he should be starting on merit.

I know many will not agree but Spurs put the contract in front of him for him to sign. I wish he actually 'earned' his wages by running, sweating blood for our team and by just looking interested. Contract commitments are two way for sure- Ade plays for the money and basically takes the piss. But I'd like one week of his pay a year- it's more than I'll ever get (and I'm good at what I do, always put in maximum effort and never give up!)

And that's why your'e posting on a football forum during working hours??

Be honest, did you actually expect Levy to bring in a striker this summer? He was 3 years late to bring in another striker(Soldado), 2 years late to bring in a left back(Davies) and is so far 2 years late bringing in a left winger.

That's generous in the extreme, some players do demonstrably leave it all out on the pitch and give 100%. With the best will in the world, you don't see him giving every single drop of sweat and blood and exhausting himself for the team, even if things are going shit for him personally. He'll perk up occasionally and chase things down, but then so does Adebayor...

He's clever enough when to chase for the sake of chasing. I don't want him chasing every single ball. He'll be bloody knackered. What I want from him his clever movement, killer passing and goals. Only thing he's lacking in my eyes is goals.

Maybe we could set a new precedent in hiring 'Arry (or even InterTim, minus press conferences) just to manage only Adebayor, solely, with no other responsibilities whatsoever - and leave Pochettino in charge of absolutely everything else :)

Failing that, I wouldn't mind him digging his heels in as long as it was accompanied by a determined to stay level of effort on the pitch.

Well yes fair enough, expectation and Levy don't make great bedfellows. My main point was that 90% of people seemed quite content with it. Guess a lot of people just see what they want to see.
