It's so easy to turn against Adebayor listening to the media tbh Tottenham Supports have a tradition on turning quickly on players, but I think we should support and get behind him because he hasn't done anything bad ie Tevez Berbatov even Rooney etc.

Spurs fans have a habit of turning on their players. Personally I am sick of all the moaning I hear in the stands. I have heard numerous people criticize Adebayor and an Idiot a few rows behind me still sings the old Adebayor song.

At the Lyon game I even heard a couple of Idiots criticizing Dawson even when he wasn't playing and lamenting how wonderful Vertonghen was when Dawson is unbeaten as a starting center back in the premier league this season.

All fans, not just Spurs fans.

I just want all our players fit and on form, so avb can select the best team possible.

Adebayor is the kind of guy who'll get criticised when not playing well because he doesn;t appear to be trying.

He put in a lot of top performances last season and didn't have the look of a determined man. When things aren't going well it is easy to brand him as lazy or not caring about the club.

I, for one, hope we stick with him and keep him at the club as our number one striker next season. It's not been an easy season for him but his strengths do fit into our team well.

cant argue with the fact he has talent but I think he is a player that needs regular matches to be at his best

I've never understood this "looks lazy" business. He spends loads of time closing down defenders and drifting out to the flanks (mainly the left, which is really good while Bale's so effective through the centre) to get involved with play.

I'm not having a go at Defoe, just making the comparison as he is our only comparison, but if he's not scoring he's not doing anything. If Adebayor's not scoring he at least makes an effort to get involved and contribute to our overall play.

Is a good player who did very well for us last year when we played with some balance. For all the incredible things bale has done for us I do think the way he has changed his game has unbalanced the side and is part of the reason we become easy to keep out. When he cuts inside we lose space to play our football. He needs to start out on the left and drift in when there is opportunity and not just wander around in the middle.

I think ade has really missed the link play of modric and vdv this season which has seen him drift out to left and too deep for a team with only 1 striker. Hopefully he can pick up some goals during the run in. Think he has looked better recently and certainly hope he can get his league goals into double figures in the last couple of months.

For some idiots its also because he used to play for the Arse, i am sick to death of the brain dead morons who sit near me and boo players especially Ade.

Sure some are doing that.

BAE has quite a cool attitude which we love most of the time. When he makes a mistake or plays badly he gets hammered for not concentrating even though at times when it goes well for him it's his calmness that allows him to get out of a situation.

Berbatov had amazing movement and a great footballing brain. He didn't need to run around like a madman. He would chase players down when there was a chance he'd get the ball. When he played poorly or we lost many would criticise his work ethic as part of the problem.

People give Parker a reprieve when he plays poorly because he still has a visible work ethic.

It's this attitude that is holding English football back. A player who can pass, move and use space intelligently is much more useful than someone who throws himself full-bodied into tackles but we sure do love that 'bulldog spirit' even if it doesn't actually achieve anything.

Ade last season was our most effective striker since Berbatov but the criticisms on here of him are regarding his attitude and work rate. It's a poor depiction of someone who links up play well and assists as much as he scores.

last season counts for fuck all now, he hasn't shown any of those qualities(in your last sentence) this season and that's all that matters.

So everytime a player goes through a bad period we should sell and buy someone new?

He hasn't become a bad player overnight and he still has a lot to offer our team. His last couple of matches have shown an improvement and he could be the guy to fire us to continue our good start to the season.

Ade did well... he drift wide to create space for others to score (Bale) and hold up the ball at the penalty box for others to run in....

He is just having bad luck for not scoring hitting woodwork a few times..... support him and he will come good. No striker can suddenly become crap overnight.

I can't understand Levy not signing a third striker.

We're risking £20M + Champions League revenue
Bale leaving
Being less attractive to incoming players
Less attractive to sponsors
Less money from the Premier League

Some can not take the hate Arse glasses off, not surprising really as Gallas can do nothing right in some fans eyes either.
