Adebayor can improve our strike force if he recaptures his form and bring others into play in the attacking area, the major issues are that he isn't in the box himself enough and never looks like scoring nor do the players that he brings in to play (aside Bale)

Last year he was setting up the likes of VdV and Modric (not a goal scorer but still made things happen) with his link play in addition to Bale now he has Dempsey

He needs to show the type of physical play he showed against us for Real and his skill and hold up play for last year

So far he's been a disappointing this season, there's no sugar coating that in my opinion. His pass for Bale which should have resulted in a goal was an encouraging sign but time is running out for him to find his form and we need him to find it soon (he's not the only player mind)

Hope he gets a goal against West Ham and this breeds a bit of confidence in him, although to be fair to the lad he doesn't have the same level of creative quality supplying him this season either

Whether you are a fan of Ade or not I think it's pretty obvious that he is not a "best fit" striker in our team, even last season when we had more creative players in midfield, though he had a decent season goal and assist wise, it was noticeable that the bulk of his goals and half his assists came in just 7 games
Ade can be a good counter attack striker with quick balls played into space for him to run onto against comparatively less deep defences, but he isn't a striker who likes to be in the box getting on the end of crosses and passes coming in from the flanks, which is where the bulk of our creative play now comes
He wants to sit deep and run wide and we need an in the box threat, it doesn't work with Ade. We win lots of corners but he is a pretty ineffective header, so we don't even benefit from any real threat there or from any free kicks around the box that need a touch rather than a direct shot
We are stuck with him this season but I do hope we get a far more suitable main striker for next season and hopefully can find a club that wants to take Ade off our hands

When he was at Arsenal - he got training on how to jump from a British athlete and he became awesome in the air. He seems to have lost that incredible leap.

Hopefully, the next 2 games will spark him back into life.

ade has done fuck all in the games he played since his return. he doesn't look interested and just because he decides to play well against arsenal is just not good enough for for me, he needs to be more consistant.
adeboyer will fire us to the CL , i don't think so. If we are to finish in the top 4 we will be looking at the likes of bale, dempsey & defoe to get us goals.

If he starts 10 of our next 12 games he should be aiming for a minimum of 5 goals

might as well get behind him rather than abuse the only fit striker we have

ade's performances have been disappointing to say the least but I think there are legitimate reasons for that in how we've changed our football since last year, the loss of players in vdv/modric, bale moving into a central role and a lack of pre-season/injury.

that said I can't believe he missed that header and I hope he'll turn it on against arsenal come sunday!

He was shocking tonight and missed a sitter too

I really like the guy though, so I just hope he can find some form

Our 2nd goal was completely down to Ade. If he hadn't had such a spaz **** swipe at the ball then Jaskewouldntletitgooverhislinen wouldn't have been pissing himself laughing and would have got his sticky little mitts on it before THOR powered in and smashed in the greatest finish off all time. I guess special mention would go to Caulker for using his face to block Collins foot and to the omnipresent Bale for delivering us our daily cross

I think ADE have been a little bit unlucky. He had some great chances today but West-hams Goalkeeper did some fantastic saves to be honest. He just need that little bit of luck then we have the old happy ADE back i promies you. Optemistic is the word :) COYS!

He's got one more chance on Sunday to show everyone what he's about, if it doesn't happen then Defoe's back in as far as I'm concerned.

The worrying thing is that he'll be on fire against his former team but disappear against the others.

The service may not always be ideal for him but he isn't doing enough.

I'd probably take that scenario to be honest...

He's just not looking like a goal threat, sad thing is I didn't even expect him to score with that header and Jussi halfway on the floor. Even when Bale scored the winner he didn't even burst into a jog to celebrate, I used more energy jumping off my sofa to celebrate than Ade did.

anyone who has played the game at a decent level knows what he is going through, confidence shot and you cant finish to save your life, I don't think he is a Torres yet tbh
