I'd have him in for training every day and work him hard. Probably right to keep him away from the first team but for 100k a week he should be made to work. If he doesn't, find any excuse to fine him heavily. That might sound vindictive but he's a greedy SOB and deserves to be treated harshly IMO.

If we were to punish him, would it not be better to go easy and let him gain 25lbs of fat and also lose a bit of muscles and dull his reactions, which at his age, he would have difficulty regaining full fitness for top level football.
