Tottenham misfit Adel Taarabt has completed a permanent move to QPR for an undisclosed fee believed to be around £1million.

The Moroccan international spent last season on loan at Loftus Road and has now put pen to paper on a three-year deal with the npower Championship side.

Taarabt, 21, was hailed as the 'new Zinedine Zidane' when he arrived at White Hart Lane from Lens for £3million in 2007, but he made just nine appearances for Spurs - who are taking a significant loss on the midfielder Harry Redknapp once described as 'frightening'.

'I'm glad to have finally tied Adel up,' said Rangers boss Neil Warnock. 'He's a player who has got a unique talent and I'm hoping that we can channel it for the good of QPR.

'I've been very patient and I've probably worn him down over the past few months! We're delighted to have him on board and he gives us that little bit of quality that you need.

Real are playing the long game. They don't want to show their hand too soon and tip the rest of the world off to his abilities.

The lad's gone up in my estimations now, i had him down as one of these showboaters who thinks he's better than he is and, whilst he talks the talk, when it comes down to it, i wouldn't be surprised if he turned down at least one mid-table prem side to link up with Warnock again. Obviously made a big impression on him and it shows that he's at least got perspective with his ambition and wants to be in a champ team going up, rather than a prem team going down.

Good luck, you dancin' fool.

All the best to him - hopefully it's the change of scene that will make him better as a player.

Very nice guy in real life as well I must add.

Yeah, I wish Adel all the best.

At one time I hoped he would get the run in the team I thought he deserved - but a few of his outbursts in the press put me off him a bit.

He's now half way to winning me back over taking a step down to QPR. Hope he sets the Championship alight and we see him at the top sometime soon.

Hopefully we've got a sizeable sell on doodah, id put good money on someone paying silly cash for him in a year or so if he has a little run of tricks coming off and turns enough heads.

As it is he wasn't going to benefit us any time soon and didn't look as though he was ever going to, never mind, at least we can stop arguing about him.

He said he wanted to go to somewhere closer to Morocco. He'll have to settle for the Edgware Road.

really hoped he would get a chance but realistically with the 25 limit it would not happen
