Get him and Soldado in and ove on Defoe or Ade and we would be all set

Tottenham are among the clubs chasing Fiorentina contract rebel Adem Ljajic, according to reports in Italy.
I know it's on Talksport, but that is the line everybody should read. Now, of course, it does depend on who is reporting it in Italy and how reliable THEY are.

This is the only Italian report I can find. Milan are moving for him as their deal for Honda is dragging, but Milan have been rebuffed before so we might be in with a chance.

Honda stops, the Milan back on Ljajic

Nothing to do: the mission in Russia AC Milan has not borne fruit and CSKA Moscow has no intention of letting leave immediately Honda . According to Tuttosport ,'s injury Milanov has done skip the negotiations for the national Japanese.
Galliani did not give up and be right back on Ljajic . TheCorriere dello Sport reports that, if he will not sign a contract extension due to expire in June 2014, the young Serbian talent will be sold to avoid loss on a free transfer. On him we have also Atletico Madrid, Lyon and Tottenham.Meanwhile, discussing the termination clause: theFiorentina points to a figure of about 15 million Euros, while the entourage of the player pushes for 8-9 million.

€9m would be a no-brainer IMO. Ljajic (Chadli) - Soldado (Ade) - Bale (Lennon) Thats an incredible front three.

15 mil euros for him would be a bargain regardless of his contract situation. When it comes to him signing for free I am sure every club under the sun will get involved!

He played the friendly at the lane a few years ago. I remember very impressive for his age.

I've not watched much Serie A but looking at his recent stats and at 21 and for £12m it sounds good. Anyone think he can play as an out and out striker/forward?

But can he get a work permit (or does he not need one) as he hasn't played many games for Serbia who are only an EU candidate country at the moment (I think) and with him being banned from playing for the Serbian national side under the current coach it is unlikely he will get many games soon. Or would he fit the special case thing?

If we're going to spend 12 mil, I'd much rather this guy than McCarthy

got to agree.... we can get him next year since he will be a championship player. Maybe Wigan stumbled and we can get him much less.

I dont see a point where we bench him everytime.

edited bec my eyes fuck up..lol

?? I said delay the purchase of McCarthy..... not an immediate need but good to have.

As for Ljajic, it will be a better purchase compare to the Croat boy. £10.5M looks attractive and his salary is an affordable EUR 700k pa... roughly EUR5k pw.:D

Whilst I agree Siggy needs to stay, using todays game as any sort of factor in that is a little odd. I don't think today was even football and will have no bearing on our season.

The game should never have been played in those conditions and on that pitch. Just hoping Vertonghen is OK.

I must say, if there is no interest in him from us and its all paper talk I don't know how/why Baldini could have missed him. What with his contract running out next summer surely this deal would be a Levy wet dream.

This kid looks the business, and is available for 50% of what it'd cost us to bring in Bernard. Hope we can shift a couple of our squad players at this position and get this done.

This guy makes me jizz in my pants. How good is he in the LW position? Has there been any ITK on him (can't find any in the RO)?
