Is it time to starve this **** of the oxygen he so desperately desires and lock this shit?

Now, I may have misheard although I'm sure I didn't...listening to drive last night, Durham and Goughie were chatting to the guy who was going to be commentating on the Southampton Liverpool game after their show...

They were discussing all the good, young players that have left Southampton for bigger teams in recent years. Anyway, as his closing gambit, this commentary numpty said something along the lines of "I'm sure teams like Southampton and Tottenham ask the question if they had held on to their best players would they now be competing with and challenging the big teams."

:stop: I mean what the actual fuck?

I enjoy the Sports Bar when I happen to be driving later in the evening. Drive's alright. It's blatant WUM stuff though. It's like they're told to have differing opinions. Don't mind Gough too much. Durham's a dick sometimes, but he's told to be. At least he has a lot of football knowledge.

H&J I actually find a bit dull. Occasionally I'll hear something that makes me laugh.

Sports Breakfast is, well. I'm rarely up early enough to hear it, thankfully. Brazil just seems inept at most things. Probably pissed.
I used to think Ronnie Irani was insipid.

Jim White comes across as a bell, giving it the big I am. Likes to mention his connections and his "sources". Yeah. Fuck off Jim, you bell.

Keys and Gray was hilariously gash.

Colin Murray was alright. Shame that had to go.

I like Danny Kelly.

Mickey Quinn is a moron. Every time I hear him on there, he is dog shit. Typical dipper.

Don't mind Georgie Bingham. But mainly because she sounds hot.

Weekend sports breakfast depresses me.

Don't listen to Kick Off very often. Crap time slot.

Don't mind Mark Saggers, but seems like a whiny bitch sometimes.

Pretty much summed up Talksport there. I've switched to listening to podcasts now for decent football discussion.

I hate this narrative - it's basically saying that teams like us actively try and sell players. Not taking into account the player's push to move on because they are able to get more money elsewhere.

Oh yeah because we didn't finish third last year and are not currently third at the moment are we? What an idiot.

I don't mind if people write us off and just consider it a top 5 rather than a top 6 that's it's shaping out to be at the moment, I'll get great joy out of pissing people off if we manage to finish 3rd again this year, we'll still always be 6th favourite to win the league the following year in their eyes.

We've only sold 4 of our best players in a decade and 3 of those (Carrick, Berbs, and Bale) went for club record transfers which were then re-invested to get us to where we are today which is "competing with and challenging the big teams."
And, even then, it's been 3.5 seasons since we sold Bale.

Off the top of my head Liverpool have had to sell Mascherano, Torres, Suarez, Sterling in the same time frame and I'm sure if United, City, and Chelsea could develop players good enough to interest Barca or Real then they would be off.

That's a level of ignorance that is beyond most football followers, let alone someone involved in the game.

Do you not drive?
Podcasts + Spotify mate.

No commercials, and if there are any you can just skip em.

It's like asking someone about not watching shows because they don't watch the crap that's on cable TV when there's HBO, Netflix etc. offering way better content at a cheaper price without commercials.

I'd still say the majority of motorists stick the radio on. Personally I prefer to drive in silence...
