Gooner just tweeted the show saying rose isn't even in the top 5 left backs in the league.

Think I've got a hernia.

I'd like to know who he objectively thought were the 5 ahead of him are. Even as a Gooner you'd struggle to name anyone after Bellerin and Alonso

I wonder if he included Ben Chilwell ?
The kid's in a league of his own so probably not fair to count him.

Btw Durham said our performance against West Brom was the best he has seen from any team this season.

I wouldn't even count Bellerin in the equation to be fair - well he's a right back for a start. : )

Durham has also today pointed out (via Twitter) that West Ham hero Sir Bobby Moore wanted a move to Spurs just like Payet wants a move to Marseilles. As much as I dislike him he does know his football history better than most broadcasters.

As for the nice things he said about us after West Brom, he'll turn on us again soon enough I'm sure.

He only got the info about Bobby Moore from yesterday's Evening Standard. It was mentioned in a piece about Payet/West Spam from one of the columnists.

My biggest issue with Durham is it's always one extreme to the other with him. He's either massively for a team or player and almost over-compliments them, or he's massively against a team or player, usually based on current form and all of this causes people to disagree with him mostly. His job is to get people to react, and he does it well.

I take everything he says with a pinch of salt, and don't bear a grudge against the ugly, short, ginger Peterborough fan.

Or he might've read one of the many biographies/autobiographies on Bobby Moore.
People forget he's extremely knowledgable about football, and a few other sports as well, they also forget that the 'character' he plays on Radio and in his Mail column is exactly that....a character.
