The only full game I've watched Rabiot in was against Chavski in the Champions league. I thought he looked really agressive and very forward thinking that day. Would definitely have him in the squad. Doubt this will happen though, it would seemingly take a lot of things to align.

All dependant on the Arsenal manager I'd imagine, if he got on well with him he'll want to go there if he didn't he won't, personally I've never understand all the fuss about this guy, nah not for me.

He's been huffing and puffing over a new contract for a couple of years now. I doubt Arsenal have in the bank 50-70m to sign this guy if their total reported budget of 50m was anywhere near accurate. I like his talent but not his drama. If we got him he would be destined for a Toby-esque saga in a few years, without the public professionalism Toby's crew have shown despite closed door issues.

I am pretty sure in this past week just about every top 20 team in Europe has been linked with him via one medium or another. It seems his agent (mom) is doing work to up his profile or force PSG's hands. This news comes off a large series FranceFootball is doing specifically on Rabiot.

If anyone speaks French they can get the view from across the channel. I don't trust Google translate:

From the page or so of this I read, they are basically saying that he (Rabiot) thinks he knows best what his position is.

Basically numerous coaches believe he has most of the attributes to be a Makelele type midfield destroyer and try to play him there but he himself doesn't want to play that position. He wants to be a more attack minded midfielder, for which he also has numerous attributes, so he generally comes across as a bit arrogant thinking he knows better than coaches/managers who have much more experience than he does.

When we tried to sign him the first time round it was because he threw his toys out the pram and told PSG that he would leave on a free if he didn't get more playing time. They eventually caved and then gave him a new contract, now he is telling them he doesn't want to play the position the manager wants him to play in.

He has also temporarily retired himself, from playing for France, whilst Deschamps is in charge by refusing to be on standby. Although looks like Deschamps will be stopping after the WC anyway judging by rumours over here.

He is quite clearly badly advised by his Mum, who is seen as being extremely difficult to deal with, think French female DL!! (I haven't seen or looked for any photos of her, so no idea if she is a bald dwarf also!)

My personal opinion is that he is a very good player with a huge ego and attitude problem that is completely exacerbated by an over controlling Mummy, probably a good idea to avoid for all the hassle he/she would bring...

His mum is only looking out for her sons interested.

If we are interested I have no doubts Levy will be able to deal with her, at the end of the day both sides will agree or not.

It's a big no for me. He has kept PSG on the hook for the past few years trying to improve his deal. It's been rumoured that he's visited with some other big clubs (United, City, Juventus) to attempt to negotiate on his own, to improve his value. We honestly shouldn't have players like that around the locker room, it just always turns out bad.

I'd love to see some of the shit that goes on during these negotiations. Levy should write a book when he retires.
Hopefully he doesn’t retire any time soon. He’s too bloody good, faults and all.
