I'm having to watch the game on TV tonight, but why does Alan Gooner Smith get to commentate on almost every Spurs game?

Even the sound of his voice annoys me so much! :bang:

I've emailed SkySports to complain, do you think I'll even get a response?

Im normally not one to bash media coverage, i mean they try to cater to everyone's needs.

However....Why have an ex-gunner cover a Spurs game? Surely an ex-spur or David "I signed everyone that made the club what it is" Pleat would be better

I'm with you there.
Going on that Huddleston gave it away earlier, when it clearly was taken away from Bassong.

What a twat!!!!!

He's a good pundit and speaks sense most of the time, its just that he's an ex-gooner, get over it chaps. If you'r eworried about who the commentator is then you got issues lol

I say this everytime he commentates, he winds me up something rotten. We were not second best to everything in the opening 15 minutes. So annoying.

Well..... If a large number complain I'm sure sky will take notice, what's the email to complain?

He's doing my nut. Anyone would think Twente have been all over us if you listen to Smith

I disargee, his punditry is pretty poor. Being an ex-gunner doesn't help but if he was good at his job it wouldn't be a problem, but he's not

I can see what merson, Charlie Nicolas or even Ian Wright can bring to the table ,I'm not saying they should commentate on Spurs games.
Smith has no personality and offers very little insight, I'd think even gooners and possibly his own mother would tire of listening to him.
It's just insulting from Sky. I'd complain about why I was paying for it if i wasn't streaming it.

Ok let me rephrase that, I think that he is a good pundit. You disagree, thats cool, but as I said, worrying about his skills is not something people should worry about. Chillax COYS!

I used this page to email them http://www.skysports.com/contactus/0,20299,,00.html

It's nothing to do with his skills, which I don't really rate anyway, it's just that he is a gooner??

You wouldn't get Kenny Dalglish doing Everton games would you? Sky must realise who he is and what he means to US in relation to who he played for!

I find it very disrespectful to say the least.

No mention of the ten men winning 4-1 either.

Don't bother me too much tonight, but last week wound me right up, it's insulting to have an ex gooner commentating on a NLD

i e-mailed sky during the ar*e game requesting that ex-gooners do not commentate on spurs games but had no reply.
Smith is anti-spurs - even tho he tries to be neutral. I don't mind that, infact like the fact he doesn't like us - but i do mind that he commentates on spurs games.
