Would likely be an upgrade on Llorente/Janssen and thats all we really need up front though right? Hopefully this will shift focus, and more of the budget to the CM spot. Our midfield and lack of a second consistent creative player is what let us down in the end not how good our outside midfielder/forward options were. Martial to me was always going to be a luxury signing that I couldn't fully understand given our financial limitations.
We shouldn’t be looking at slight upgrades ( who has a horrendous injury record ) than Janssen/Llorente.

Same with Grealish another meh signing.

I’m hoping for better than these type players

In all honesty I wouldn’t be surprised to see his team using us as a name to bring up the fee for him, whilst us being happy to use his name as a smokescreen when working on other deals.

ITK would suggest otherwise!

Never heard of this guy, but I’d have hoped we’d have learned our lesson on signings from the French league?

The last one to work out was Hugo, and he was already a top class player.

Herc's info making this sound inevitable based on the history of Spurs' transfer activity.

What I don't get is how we went from Martial at ~£60m and the very next best option is Plea at £25m. I know scouting isn't based on pricing but still. Unfortunately there is no way to spin that away from looking like taking the budget option again.

Are there really no bigger prospects available than Plea with £60m to spend on the position?

I just don't see the point on getting this guy. He's a right footed LWF/Forward. I can't see him being on the same level as Son, so why not just use him as backup? He's 5ft 9 so hardly a presence up front. Why do we insist on these punts from France?
I’ve read he’s 5’11”.

I don’t think we shouldn’t sign players from Ligue 1 just because of past failures. Would you not take Fekir for example (lol at the thought of us signing a Top-class player)

Thing is mate we don't know that we went for Martial at £60m and we also don't know if we're really going for Plea at £25m or going for him as an alternative to a supposed Martial interest.

All I really mean is lets just wait and see who we end up with first, there's not enough to suggest with such confidence that we've simply gone from Martial to Pléa.

Is he really any better than what we have already? We are already struggling to give moura playing time.

Fucks sake I did the thing where I convert into feet and not feet and inches. My apologies.

Also just cos he’s small doesn’t mean he’s not strong. As I said he has 81 Strength on FIFA, the ultimate way to judge a player.
Physical is only 75
