Bastoni has the potential to be an absolute superstar, he’s really a unicorn player where it’s hard to compare him to other players. But because of this, if we’re being honest, there is a chance of him flopping too. Where his brand of playing just might not work in the league. (Sidenote: I really don’t think that will be the case)

Perisic on the other hand I can almost guarantee won’t be a flop. I’d be happy to put down a friendly wager with anyone that without major injury he will have 10 or more combined g+a for us in the league. He’ll finish top 2 defender in fantasy, rivalled only by Trent.

I do wonder if Perisic joining us annoys inter and makes them reluctant on this deal. However, with their owners they may be happy to just sell early on and get the deal done and take off the financial stress they seem to always be under every window.

Yeah I think if we're ever gonna get this done it has to be fast. The longer it drags the more I'd fear Inter/Bastoni having second thoughts or Chelsea getting involved if their other targets fell through.
