Why is she only being signed till the end of year? That's what's being reported on the BBC
NWSL season starts in Spring. Why is she only being signed till the end of year? That's what's being reported on the BBC
Would only miss a month of the NWSL season so maybe doable.Supposedly an option for her to stay until May, but I’m not sure it’s from the club or Morgan’s side.
I had no idea Alana Kennedy was with Spurs, albeit on loan. Thats awesome. An Aussie with spurs.Joe Lewis was involved in the development of the training grounds for Orlando City and Orlando Pride. It's possible that his relationship with the clubs helped this transfer and the transfer of Shelina Zadorsky and Alanna Kennedy.
Option to make that one permanent, I thinkI had no idea Alana Kennedy was with Spurs, albeit on loan. Thats awesome. An Aussie with spurs.
She is a great defender. Will be great for Spurs.Option to make that one permanent, I think
If you look at 1) her ability compared to that of her peers, and 2) her profile in the women’s game - this is closer to ‘Messi big’. Huge coup for the club .Forgive my ignorance here, in WSL terms is this Gareth Bale big, or Bergwijn big?
Sam Kerr, an Aussie who is one of the hottest properties in womens football has very unfortunately signed Chelsea and is a huge name here. The game is getting stronger. And having won the rights to the 2023 world cup ( with of course our Kiwi cousins) has made it even stronger. So that's what, 4 of the US world Cup winners that have come to England in the last couple of weeks?
The women's game over here is is getting bigger and better.
Great stuff
I didn't know that either. It's nice to have one of ours here.I had no idea Alana Kennedy was with Spurs, albeit on loan. Thats awesome. An Aussie with spurs.
You guys should've won the men's World Cup in 2022. Hope you try again soon.Sam Kerr, an Aussie who is one of the hottest properties in womens football has very unfortunately signed Chelsea and is a huge name here. The game is getting stronger. If she is such a big star, why she is playing in usa club? :/
Women's football in the US is probably more developed and more professional than in any other country on the planet.
Yes and no. Women´s football in the US is huge - it´s one of the absolutely biggest sports for girls and women over there. Back in the 90s and very early 00s the only places to play football professionally for women (and make a decent living) were USA and China. Early pioneers of women´s football, Norway and Sweden had decent leagues and attracted some very good players too, but the money was never really there to compete. But: The arguably greatest female player of all time, Marta from Brazil, played in Sweden for something like 10 years.Because women's football in the US is HUGE.
