Poch might have say on who comes and goes but Levy would still make sure the numbers were right.

Mate, that didn't seem to be the case when Capoue & Paulinho were sold.

Capoue reportedly cost the club around £9mil, yet was sold for a reported £5.7mil.

Paulinho was bought for a reported £17mil, yet was sold for a reported £12mil.

That's a hit of over £8million on 2 players that hadn't even been with us for a couple of years. This hit came after Poch came into the club, and when have any of us ever known Levy to not only take such a massive hit on figures, but also get the players out so quickly?

I find it impossible to believe anyone but Poch was responsible for the dramatic change in the guy regarded as one of the toughest (most awkward) negotiators in the game.

You've made some good points there however with Paulinho certainly I don't remember too many feeling upset at the fee. Also neither were English players being sold to richer-than-ever PL clubs, one capped at full international level and another at U21 level. I'd be surprised if we sold them for £8m bearing that in mind, but I guess Poch could push them through.

That said ITK suggests that Poch is happy enough to give both a shot in preseason compared to Capoue who he completely fell out with, and therefore he would surely be less forceful to sell them for a low offer in the current climate (Shelvey £12m).

My point was, when have any of us EVER known Levy to take such a hit on prices achieved? We're pretty much all normally complaining because he holds on to them for too long & asks unrealistic fees for them, even if they're not getting any time on the pitch.

I'm a Levy supporter, always have been, always will be. However, his constant digging in of his heels has often left us having sales go through at the last minute, leaving us with little/no time to get a valid replacement in. Up until Poch came in, that was pretty much always how Levy did things. So, by sheer association, it surely must be Poch who has made the difference on those 2 occasions?

I was also surprised how cheaply & quickly he allowed Holtby to go. I know the lad barely cost much (£1.5mil?) but a Germany U21 skipper with a decent ceiling of potential would most likely, in the past, see Levy holding out for a bigger figure than Holtby left for. The same could possibly be said for Townsend & Lennon, too?

I do really hope this guy is good. If he was 18 I could totally understand the enthusiasm over him, but he's 23. Only seen glimpses off him. Any idea why he didn't regularly play for WBA? Injuries?

I think Pritchard going would be a bad sign. If Poch is truly the youth focused coach we think he is, then it's pretty counter-intuitive signal to the current youth that you may be sent out on an ill fitting loan followed promptly by a sale.

There are many elements though. How hard is he working in his rehab? What is his personality like in the dressing room. How hard does he train day to day. These are all things Poch values. It's no use having ability if you don't have be application.

The West brom move was a poor decision, Pulis was not willing to play creative players.
But if this is true and Poch has deemed him surplus to requirements I suspect it would be down to Prichards ability to play a intensive/high energy game. That's the only thing I think that would hold him back.
Unless Pritch has requested the move of course.

Sky Sports sources means the Internet so how reliable that is is anyone's guess. Talented but time is ticking and he always seems to be injured. he has to overcome injuries and have a run in a side, perhaps a promoted side before we decide what to do with him in January. Can't see people paying enough now so another loan until Jan.

I'd like to see him go somewhere like Bournemouth on loan. WBA was a complete waste of time for him.

£8million for a 23 year old who has to date not been able to make an impact in the Premier League? Looked great at Brentford but I think it's becoming a bit of a long-shot to think Pritch is going to become a player good enough to push Eriksen sufficiently. Don't mind if he stays as there's clearly talent there but I'm not seeing this potential superstar that some seem to think he can become. A bid of around that size and I think he goes and it would be the right decision.

Tough one. I think we all hoped he'd be the next academy player to break through, but the injury last year really halted that.

Unfortunately, we've seen little of him, not nearly enough to suggest that he can cut it at this level, and he's not really a youngster anymore at 23.

I'm conflicted, so I'll trust the manager on this one.

If this has any legs there could be several things we dont know about regarding his injury, personality, ability etch.

Could also be he simply have players like Onomah and maybe even Edwards ahead of him given their much younger age, and Poch let him go for regular first team footy.

Might even be Pritch that angle for a move away? What do we know...

I doubt this has any legs considering both Poch and Pritch's comments about him beeing back in the mix for next summer, but if it has it could be for any number of reasons we dont know about

Pritchard had a terrific season with Brentford a few seasons ago - but the injury has set him back, together with the baffling loan move to WBA. Why would a creative player even consider going to a team coached by Tony Pulis is beyond me.

If these rumours are true then it could be that Spurs are looking to bring in much better, proven players in this transfer window to cope with a run at the title and the Champions League. The Club has to pay for a new stadium and money must be tight. Difficult decisions have to be made. Perhaps it's simply a matter of selling the most capable 'back-up' players to raise as much cash as possible to bring in better quality, starting talent.
