Walker, fryers, Norton, rose. Bae too unless we can get someone better. These positions imo have cost us the most points and problems this season.
I'd keep fryers. Very good CB waiting to happen and good cover for LB. Excellent squad option imo.
Used to be a winger/midfielder no?A few weeks ago i'd also have wanted Naughton moved on but he's actually been improving quite substantially recently, despite his occasional cock up that has unfortunately cost us goals. You can't not admire his efforts defending when up against Walker, who is often caught out high up and out of position on the break.
Either way, as others have said, Fryers is a work in progress and murmurs are that he's developing really well, so bit early to move him on, really no need.
To add to that, you'll notice that these guys have one thing in common that should encourage us to keep hold of them and squeeze every bit of talent we can out of them - they're English, homegrown.
Go through the list of young homegrown full backs and, to be fair, it's not that impressive a list. No club in the premier league can confidently lay claim to having a nailed on homegrown superstar defender, established or in the making, that would measure up against the best there is overseas - it's a very shallow pool to pick from and we have three of them.
Rose, whilst also homegrown & English, i can't figure out. He clearly doesn't suit the left back position, i wonder if any managers have ever pushed him up to the wing in a reserve match or something? No idea.
