I think it was hilarious.

I'm not a fan of Allardyce at all, but the way he winds Wenger up is very funny.

I didn't see much wrong with the 2nd goal tbh (didn't see the 1st). Just a little bit of jostling where the stronger man won, and headed into the net. Certainly no more so than the one against us, where he used Dawson for leverage.
"In football, when you don't go for the ball and you stop the keeper going for the ball, it is a foul. I think the referee cannot allow that. I am very disappointed the referee lets that happen in a football game, it is unfair to a goalkeeper."
Not true. There is no rule to suggest a player has to move out of the way. Besides, we see many defenders do a similar thing when they don't go for the ball, but do just enough to prevent the attacking player from getting a clean head to it. The goalkeepers shouldn't get the advantage.

I don't agree with the way Blackburn play under Big Sam. But it was the best strategy for them against Arsenal. I thought it was clever strategy.

You've changed your tune from the Inter/Barca thread.

No outrage at anti-football here chaps!

I didn't watch all the game tbh. I don't know if they played the dirty tactics of diving everytime an Arsenal player put pressure on them, or lying on the floor feining injuries. Although I caught about the last 20 mins, and didn't see any evidence of it. So no, nothing like the Inter/Barca game.

I never criticised the defending of Inter, in fact I credited them for their defending. My complaints about Inter were their antics. I don't see any complaints about that between managers. All I see is complaints about Bolton players surrounding Fabianski to stop him getting to the ball.

I have no idea as i can't hit that link at work now...

Cutting n pasting articles used to be common practice when i were a lad, now it's all links and shenanigans, not like the old days!

Its a load of bollocks. Its exactly the same as what teams did to us last year when Gomes first arrived. Alladyce is paid to win games and if he saw a weakness and exploited it then fair enough.

Plus it was the goons so that makes it better.

Here ya go:

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger claimed that both Blackburn's goals should have been ruled out for obstruction after his side lost 2-1 at Ewood Park.

Rovers tested goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski with high balls and scored both their goals from corner kicks.
"On both goals we were unlucky with the decision of the referee [Martin Atkinson]," said Wenger.
"Blackburn's main purpose every time was to stop the keeper. I cannot understand why he did not stop that."
Wenger also felt that his team should have been awarded a penalty after Michel Salgado tangled with Robin van Persie.
The Arsenal boss, who has complained previously about the physical approach of teams prepared by Rovers boss Sam Allardyce, said that he was not surprised by Blackburn's approach.
"We were unlucky to lose but we did not produce enough quality," added the Gunners boss.

"But I do not know any more what is a foul and what is not a foul. Every time [a ball went in] Fabianski was pushed.
"There is no purpose to play the ball from the Blackburn players - they don't even watch the ball. He [Fabianski] had two players in front of him all the time and every time it was to stop him getting the ball.
"In football, when you don't go for the ball and you stop the keeper going for the ball, it is a foul. I think the referee cannot allow that. I am very disappointed the referee lets that happen in a football game, it is unfair to a goalkeeper."
Rovers boss Allardyce admitted his team had targeted Fabianski but argued that they did so within the rules.
"We know that the weakness for Arsenal is balls in the box and we did that positively," said Allardyce.
"We have seen that under pressure Fabianski's handling is sometimes suspect.
"We felt that the more balls we put in, the deeper Arsenal would go and the more bodies Fabianski would then have to go through."

Allardyce targeted 'weak Arsenal defence'

Van Persie headed Arsenal in front before David Dunn equalised shortly before half-time.
Chris Samba scored the winner after the break to ensure that Rovers will end the season unbeaten at home against the Gunners, Chelsea, Manchester United and Liverpool.
"It looked like the match would be a tall order after the first 15 minutes but we slowly worked our way into the game," added Allardyce.
Wenger's team have won just one of their last eight matches in all competitions and are not yet assured of third place in the table and automatic qualification to the group stage of next season's Champions League.
Manchester City and Tottenham, who meet on Wednesday, can still potentially catch the Gunners but they need Arsenal to drop points in their final game against Fulham next Sunday.
"I believe that it is about what we do, not what Manchester City and Tottenham do," added Wenger.
"We have a home game to finish the season and we want to finish well."

cheers darlin'

And that's just hilarious as it was Campbell who impeded that calamity keeper for the second, so what he's moaning about i have no idea whatsoever.

I actually sympathise with the comments made not necessarily in respect to Blackburn's goals as I haven't seen them. But a lot of teams have started to put someone directly in front of and in a lot of cases holding on to the goalkeeper and it has to be stopped. Along with the diving and faking injuries of course.

On the first one he maybe has a point because Roberts (I think it's him) genuinely isn't trying to get the ball and puts his arm up into Fabianski. That doesn't explain why Fabianski didn't use his hands and fell down like a narcoleptic ninny but I think it's still a foul.

The second one was just very weak goalkeeping.

I think that's the first time I've seen typecasting in football.

I hate Alledyce, I think he is terrible for football, all his teams rely on the long ball tactics, kick the opposition and cheat.

Think Wenger has a point about his sides, but I couldn't care less about it, as if it was one of Wenger's lot doing it he would have said he didnt see it

I would just leave a man on each post, keep the box relatively clear (in terms of centre backs attacking the ball) and just let the keeper come and claim it. The problem with that though is he's not a big guy and has difficulty catching, typical arsenal shit goalie.
