Martin Blackburn @SunMartinB

‪#‎mcfc‬ paying an initial £16.4m for Negredo with around £4m in add ons. Medical today in Manchester.

its lower that i expected... :\
If that is his price that's a good deal because he's a quality striker, but i would personally prefere Soldado who is better in my opinion

Options are now thin on the ground

What we need to do is pluck a gem from no where, someone who isn't a star yet but will become one (with hopefully Ade stepping up in the mean time)

Another wide forward of real in the here and now talent and a talented prospect striker to come in and grow with us will satisfy my for this window

I'll bounce back, but not sure what's going on here and not overly keen on soldado either...

The money City are paying for Negredo is insane. I used to live in Seville and have watched him countless times. He is not anything special at all and it just shows how fucked the transfer market is.

And I see City got Jovetic for 22mil. Must say I am quite surprised at the price, was expecting it to be more like 30mil,maybe there is a little hope we may get Lamela after all. Jovetic is a great player but I really don't know what City are planing to do with all these forwards.

City are doing what Chelsea did a few years ago, which is to just buy players to stop them joining your rivals..
The top transfer targets this summer have either gone to France or City, which is just what they want, as there is growing dissent coming from United and Arsenal due to their lack of transfer activity.
