If Negrado is worth €28m , then the market has been inflated beyond repair. Not a chance is he worth that, a good player no doubt but is he worth that price? Never in a million years.

City price is different to everybody else's price! They just get mugged off!

Again. Pack of muppets.

They should spend their cash on someone with negotiating skills... they'd pay their way on the very first signing.
Too late for that.
Everyone knows they have untold billions and will pay whatever to fet the players they want, thats the truth of it and as a result it is i possible to go for players city are i terested in. Chelsea are similar.

Just got to play it smart and move on

Everyone knows City have money to burn so sellers just whack an extra £10m on the players value. There is nothing Man City can do to get around that.

What is a player worth, finances dictate that clubs these days have to evaluate not just if the player is right for the club but how much of a future asset that player will be in terms of re sale value. It's why you see a lot of quality older players going for less than you see a number of unproven younger ones
Negredo nfor example is a far more proven and complete striker than Benteke and so purely on football ability should cost considerably more, but in four years his re sale value will have declined to a minimal amount even if he is still on top of his game as new buyers won't want to risk a long term contract on a player who will be in his declining years. Benteke of course could lose money but there is an upside that he might prove a good striker over the next few years in which case he'll sell for more, a decent player in which case he'll maybe sell for the money paid or a few mill less or a poor player where you might get nothing or you might offset a bit.
More upsides to the younger player but the real key is what they offer in the four years or whatever they play for the club. If City opt for Negredo it's because they think he is worth that to them and at a club that doesn't have to worry about money coming back it's refreshing that they pursue the best options for them now rather than judge a player more on what he might be worth when he leaves

All I have read about the Negredo to Citey rumour is from the Mail, ESPN, AS etc etc. He has apparently left the training camp that his team are at!

If we are not interested then we should be IMO.

If as some reports are saying that deal done at £20M then makes you wonder why we didn't do more + why we are looking such high price for Benteke

You're totally right, why didn't we get in a bidding war with Man City?! I'm indignant right now that Levy didn't go toe-to-toe.

I'm not doubting Negredo's ability, he'll have fun in this league but Sevilla's chairman done good.

Yeah, once City were interested it was too late, but we should have signed him last January when we needed a new striker in, and he was reportedly available for around £15 mil.

Let me tell you how that one will go:

Sevilla: So, what'll it be lads?
Levy: £18mil!
Sevilla: Nice, but maybe a little more. Citeh?
Citeh: £19.5mil!
Sevilla: Niiiice, but perhaps just a liiiiittle more? Levy?
Levy: £20m!
Sevilla: Sweet! How about you Citeh?
Citeh: I'll see your £20m and raise it to £25m!
Sevilla: Wowzers! Your turn Levy......Levy....where the fuck did he go?

Suggestions that Seville will be getting Alvaro Morata for 10 mill euros as a replacement, I wish he was coming to us I think he has so much potential sounds like they got a great deal both ways

Aye, keep Ade and sign Morata makes at least as much sense as to push upwards from £20m for Benteke.
No doubt in my mind that Morata will make it as a top player, ooze striker quality.
