In today's NOTW, he says he's so desperate to remain in English football that he'd take the West Ham job. He also says he'd be prepared to take a massive pay cut. Come on, Levy-you know it makes sense.

what would make sense?

Making Redknapp walk the plank and hiring Ancelotti. Plenty of Spurs fans told me that Ancelotti was out of our league but he has just turned around and said he'd manage a Championship team if it meant staying in England.

Seems like a massive overreaction, it's not like he's gone 6 years without winning anything ..

No hope of what, PT?
of sesne Jonathon.

One of the major drawbacks of our littered history of turning over Managers every two years on average, i that each time we do, we reset the rebuild, the dynasty.

Harry's tenure is no reason to date to tell him he has to "walk the plank".

To be honest if he's prepared to manage West Ham I'd have my doubts that he really gives a shit about football anymore, and is simply happy to maintain his lifestyle.

A great manager, but right now I'd rather stick instead of twist.

I don't know if I can quote the article because of copyright issues but here you go...

"The motivation is to play, to win, to be the best. To stay at the top as a player, as a manager, this is a good motivation. To give a good image of yourself, this is a good motivation."

I guess if the right question is asked of most Premiership Managers / players a similar generic answer would be proffered.

Redknapp was brought in as a firefighter, PT. He had bagloads of experience at the wrong end of the table.

Here comes Ancelotti. A born winner. And we would turn our noses up at him. Where's your ambition?

How many medals has Ledley King won?

Are you saying we should keep Redknapp because Ledley King has only won one medal? You're comparing an outstandingly talented player with a history of chronic injuries to a manager who has done...what has he done?

Do people honestly think Harry is here for the long term? If he gets a sniff of the England job, he's gone. Even if he doesn't, he doesn't look likely to be a long term fixture. He's certainly not managing our squad that way anyway. Seems to be willing to let young talent go (or rot), and bring in more journeymen. Then add in the fact he's 64 (Carlo, by the way, is 51). It all smacks of short-termism. Just saying...
