by all means mods please move or delete this if you wish but as you can imagine i didn't want to spend the time writing this then posting it in transfer rumors to gather dust.

Viera to spurs... i know i know.. but indulge me the time to explain how this resurfaced. I'm in st Albans, a local financial advisor i know has a client that has been charged with a quest to find a property for Mr P. Veria becasue he's siging for SPurs in january.

"yeh heard that one before"

She went on... Another one of her clients is Jeff Shreeves and it so happens (i know i know) that she met with him the same day. AS you can imagine football comes up and she mentions it and Jeff shreeves understands that to be the case as well.

"hummmmmm, thanks for telling me but i'll beleive it when i see it"

Another mate of ours got more excited about it than me (i envy his ignorance sometimes) phone his bookies to place a bet and they refused to take it.

Now there could have been a surge of bets on it that they had to close the book or they could actually know something.

This isn't ITK it's just an honest account of a 3rd hand conversation to simlulate a bit of pre-transfer window chat.

It wouldn't surprise me. I'm excited about the thought of Sandro though tbh. Vieira would be good for his leadership but he is way off the pace of the EPL now.

before i knew Wiiilllsooon was as prone to poor form in CM as the others i would have hated this move but now i'm not sure.

Doesn't third hand usually mean ITK. Uh Oh there goes my scepticism again.

Still Viera is one I think a lot of Spurs fans were glad didn't happen. His subsequent attributed comments such as 'I could never go to Tottenham' kinda suggested to me that it was never a realistic one.

But I guess we wait and see. Thanks for the story triks

Wouldn't be surprised. We'll be looking for players in that position and the move may help Vieira get a WC squad place(?).

unusual to get 3 sources for one person but wouldnt exactly surprise us if he did because we certainly seemed to be after him in the summer and he wasnt called up for play off game so he knows hes got to do something IF france get to the world cup and he wants to get called up

ummm thats a guess though. WE don't know if he is up to EPL now or indeed what capacity and when he would be called on to play.

I'm far more dubious about his attitude and commitment to Spurs as a club rather than his physical or mental capacity on the pitch.

just throwing it out there but would it not be a good idea to get sandro and PV in together at same time and patrick to play mentor to him  regardless of his previous clubs he was a great prem CM and any young player could learn from him so sandro could do worse then have him tutoring you

Thanks for the info tRiKS.

Wether it's true or not, it's always nice to hear some early ITK.

I agree with others, if he is brought in to mentor Sandro and do a job for us in the tough slog of the second half of the season, I don't see a problem with it.

I remember Harry talking about the amount of CM's he had at Pompey so I wouldn't be surprised if we had Sandro, Vieira and 1 other.
I now think we need the personality and pressence of Patrick but I'm not overly convinced about his current footballing ability.

Never gonna happen.

Harry wants him but there's no way Levy would sanction such a deal. Not a chance

Thanks for posting Triks. Wouldn't surprise me if there was some truth in this.

I love itk and spend a lot of time in the transfer rumours section when the window is open. Some of it is barely believable and humourous but I also love the above quote from arail11.

Arail11, how are you so certain that there is "not a chance".

Cheers for the info. Who is Jeff Shreeves? Any relation to Peter?

I agree there is no cahnce in hell, we would sign the ex arsenal captain.
He even said himself that he still has respect for Arsenal and could never sign for Spurs or was the that Henry?

Wilson not prone to poor form per se. Put him next to Jenas, Modric one side and anyone but Keane the other (or in the diamond) and you will see the good old hammersmith we all know and love.

It's only when he has to compensate for lardy huddlestone and mincer Keane that he - like anyone in a 442 with those two - will look less than great.
