He's never been the same player since Beckenbauer told the UK audience on Sky Sports that his surname was pronounced 'Shirley'.

Great player, would be super for us, but we have no chance. Next.

EL OH EL at anyone who thinks Schurrle is realistic. Absolutely no chance in hell. Beyond absurd link. Laughable.

I'd give myself a 2 week ban from SC and a £15 donation to SC if he comes here.

I agree, it's not going to happen.

I know. Just seems as though he is saying that Levy should be spending that much without having to sell because Wolfsburg can

No I'm saying it's a potent example of our ridiculous frugality.

Tbh you could substitute Wolfsburg for a lot of clubs who make far less than we do who actually have been investing money in their teams while we haven't.

That's because we have too many players, hence why we have to sell at the moment before buy.

The most realistic scenario including Schurrle and Spurs would be a loan deal. We're not a threat to Chelsea, and we will be playing both City and Man United. Could throw Arsenal in the pot too.

And if he's a success, maybe we take some points off Chelseas opponents, Schurrle plays well, and Chelsea sell him for 40 million pounds to PSG in the summer.

But even so, I have a bigger chance of being balls deep in Jessica Alba in 45 minutes than the aforementioned scenario to happen.

A loan deal won't happen. They wouldn't strengthen an opponent just to appease a player. He will be off for 20m+

They did loan out Moses and Lukaku last year, but as I said, I'm not saying it's a realistic prospect. But it's the most realistic prospect involving both Spurs and Schurrle.

Schurrle would be fantastic for Spurs blistering pace as well, but we all know it won't happen tbh I rather not deal with Chelski and we find ourselves another option...that kid at Birmingham.

Heard earlier it was back to Germany for £30m, guess that's how cuatrado can come in for them.
£30m though? Seriously?

Schurrle to Wolfsburg!

Meanwhile the Bild website (in German) is reporting the total cost of the Schurrle deal will come in at close to £50m...

Some kind of fiddle going on here. £50m for Luiz was funny enough but this is now taking the piss...
