As Rebrab has mentioned him he probably merits a thread.

a_esbech a Danish poster on COYS has been mentioning him since last year. He prepared a report.

General Report
Andreas Cornelius has had a breakthrough season having played just two matches before this season. Cornelius has quickly shown that he is one of the biggest offensive talents in Denmark, which has earned him his first caps at the age of 19, last autumn. Having been involved in most of FC Copenhagen’s game this season he has shown that he is ready to take the big step from academy player to full time pro. He is a very versatile goal scorer and has shown that he can score regardless of whether it is a counter attack or an established play situation.

Team Report
FC Copenhagen has been the powerhouse of Danish football for the past 10 years. It is also the first Danish team ever to go through the group stages of the Champions League. Most players making it here should be able to play at most top level clubs in Europe. This season FC Copenhagen have hired the former Anderlecht manager Ariel Jacobs. Jacobs have inherited a team that has won the championship in six of the past eight seasons. Jacobs have shown that he prefers his team to play in a 442 diamond. The buildup of the game is done from a position between the two centre halfs, where one of the central midfielders draws back and leads the ball from there. This is usually done by Thomas Kristensen. That leaves the two centre halfs to take care of their own half, whilst the backs are able to push forward and overlap. Most of their play will go through the right winger Christian Bolaños, who with great speed and technique is one of the best wingers in the Danish league. Besides the players mentioned, other notable players are Claudemir de Souza (centre midfielder), Cesar Santin (striker) and Nicolai Jørgensen (striker/winger), the latter could be subject to another report.

Technical report
Andreas Cornelius has scored 16 goals in the Danish Superliga. 7 of these goals have been scored with a header, 6 with his left foot and 3 with his right. 11 of these goals have been first timers, which goes to show that Cornelius is a naturally gifted goal scorer. Cornelius is a classic striker who rarely comes down the pitch to receive the ball, his position and timing however makes even the best defenses vulnerable. He is physiqually superior to many defenders in the Danish Superliga, but has shown in the Europa League and his international games, that he still lacks a bit of strength to keep off defenders at a European level. Cornelius has also shown that he can shoot as roughly 65 % of his shots are on target. Accoridng to Amisco Corneliushave taken 72 shots in the league and scored 16 goals making it a conversion rate of roughly 22 %.

Potential
Cornelius is definitely one worth watching. He couldn’t make a first team impact at the moment, but could become a regular within a few years with the proper training and motivation. After the Danish winter break he has played 3 matches and it would seem that his development is stalling a bit, he needs to get games at a higher level for him to develop properly. I would recommend him as a substitute striker with the potential to start.

Valuation

Young strikers are never cheap, but I would say that he could be available for about £1.5 million. However FC Copenhagen do not warrant for money, so he could become quite expensive if they know that we can afford a higher price. I’d say we should go up to £2.5 million if necessary.

Cornelius with Villa/Damiao would be some really solid business all around that could solidify our strikeforce for years on end.

And sweet Jesus, the touches at ~3:40 were crazy.

Definitely need to take a punt on a couple of youngsters at some stage. I know we have Kane, Coulthirst and Coulibaly plus one or two others which may come off longer term, there have to be some out there.

Plus as you state, given the dire situation we've found ourselves in these last few seasons we could do with having some options coming through for the future.

I think they would probably be looking for more than 2.5m for him!! Are you Daniel Levy?
Edit.. Just realised it was a report from someone else. sorry.:)

Cannot se the £1.5m or £2.5m.

Inteesting that the 2 managers (Moyes and Pulis) who the Mail thought were most inte4rested 2 months ago are no longer at their clubs....

Think the £5m (even though its in the Mail) price is more likely - and might even rise.

I am Danish and know Cornelius well. He is the hottest young striker in Denmark, and I believe he fits Well in to English football. He is strong, good in the air and extremely dangerous in front of goal. He is young though, but I wood have him at Spurs any day...

I know people often say "he's really good on FM" but this kid really is! It takes him a couple of seasons to get going but then he's shit-hot (well, was for me). While we're on the subject of young, potentially brilliant youngsters, we should also mention Yassine Benzia of Lyon - 18 I think - he's really good on FM too!

Sort of business that would make a lot of sense if there was money on the table for Kane. Wonder if we'd wait to get 2-3m from a top Champo side for Harry K then invest here...?

1 goal every 2 games at 19/20 years old is pretty impressive even if it is the Danish league. So him or the Croatian lad (rebic) ??

IMHO I think we would be doing well to get 2-3m for Kane- could be wrong just can't see anyone paying that for a player about to turn 20 who is yet to prove himself

Rebic is another fantastic talent, but he seems to play the wide forward role. So...both?

I like that we're actively scouting good, young talent. He looks a good prospect. Already looks better than Bendtner at least, but that's not hard! :p
