He can't seem to help himself. I'm sure the media will have a field day with him when he goes to Ingerlund.

Just read these comments. The thing that I'm asking myself is if those are comments are a true reflection of how he feels, and he's not here next season anyway, is he really going to motivate them now to the best of his abilities?

Yep. I feel that if we make top 4 again it will be in spite of him this time.

No doubt this will be pooh-poohed as per by some but this isn't a question of "we don't know what he's saying behind closed doors blahdee fucking blah blah". We don't need to. He's said this in public. It can't be unsaid just because he's flapping his gums about something else on the training pitch.

What is interesting is what the players really think when they hear some of this crap. Not that we know as they don't feel the need to unload a daily quantity of excrement from their mouths on an almost daily basis. I highly doubt it brings them closer together though.

Even more crap from Redknapp. The Strong Squad paragraph beggars belief.

Harry Redknapp hopes Chelsea win the UEFA Champions League regardless of whether it ends Tottenham's hopes of qualifying for the competition.

The Blues head to Barcelona for the second leg of their semi-final with a 1-0 advantage thanks to Didier Drogba's strike at Stamford Bridge.

The Spanish giants are still favourites to progress, because of their incredible home record - they have not lost at Camp Nou since September 2010 - but Redknapp thinks Chelsea stand a good chance of making the final.

Should the West London club win the competition, only three, rather than the customary four, teams will qualify for the Champions League via the Premier League.

With Spurs sitting fourth in the table, Redknapp would be forgiven for supporting Barcelona, but, surprisingly, he wants Chelsea to win.

Debate

"I'll be rooting for Chelsea," he said. "I haven't even thought about [missing out if Chelsea win the competition].

"If Chelsea stay in it, they've got a Champions League final to prepare for, and then they've got a lot on their plate haven't they? I want to see an English team win it anyway and I think they can do it."

At the start of 2012, Redknapp would not have been troubled in the debate about the effect Chelsea winning the Champions League would have on his team.

Back then Spurs were within touching distance of the top of the table, but now after a dramatic collapse they find themselves on the brink of dropping out of the race for the Champions League.

A horrible run of one win in their last eight league games means the Londoners could be sixth in the table by the time they kick off at QPR on Saturday evening, if Newcastle beat Stoke and Chelsea overcome Arsenal.

Strong squad

Having kept pace with the league leaders for so long, many, including midfielder Scott Parker, believe finishing outside the top four would constitute failure for the club, but Redknapp disagrees.

"I don't think it's a failed squad whatever we do," he said. "We're not entitled to be above Chelsea. Look at their bench the other night. They had people like (Fernando) Torres and (Daniel) Sturridge and other top players.

"I wouldn't say we've got a stronger squad than Chelsea - no way - or a stronger squad than Liverpool come to that.

"If we finish fourth, we'll be delighted and if we finish third, it will be even better. I can't fault the effort of the players this year whatever they do."

Anyone hear Keys and Gray this morning? Andy Gray would apparently be very surprised if Bale didn't go to Barca this Summer, Keys then announced that Man U were in for Modric and that it was all down to Harry that he had been linked to the England job.

Then they announced how brilliant Chelsea are and how great Dalgleish is!!!

Just really had enough of the lot of them.

What makes it worse is Harry makes Pardew sound like the voice of reason :

'I'll choke on my beer if Chelsea win Champions League' - Newcastle manager Pardew
The 50-year-old needs feels he will need to bring in mathematical help to work out how his side can qualify for Europe if the Blues scoop the elite trophy in May.
Newcastle manager Alan Pardew believes the clubs chasing fourth spot have "got a bit edgy" and are "very nervous" as sixth-placed Chelsea remain able to nick the final Champions League qualification spot by winning this season's competition.
"Chelsea haven't won it yet. But it makes it very interesting that third place, doesn't it? If Arsenal and Tottenham get very nervous, that's a good thing," the Newcastle manager told reporters.
As for his own side's attempt at European qualification, in only their second season back in the Premier League, Pardew was rather philosophical.
"I'll choke on my beer if Chelsea win the Champions League and we finish fourth, for sure. But the rules are the rules," he added.
"I really think we'll achieve something special if we finish fifth or sixth. Any higher than that would be astounding really but I think we've got a real chance.
"The Champions League is something that really we shouldn't be competing for, but we are, and we are going to go for that as best we can.
"We are batting well above our level in terms of the teams and the salaries and transfer fees that these other clubs have paid. We shouldn't even be anywhere near them but a couple of the other sides have got a bit edgy. We haven't shown any signs of that – and hopefully we won't.
"What I do know is this European qualification is about as complicated as it gets. We need Carol Vorderman to work it out."

Much as a don't have alot of time for Pardew at least he's not fawning over Chavs and giving a response that's positive to HIS team.

a) If he thinks Liverpool have a better squad than ours, he needs to get the fark out of Dodge.

b) There is no root vegetable big enough for him, be it swede, turnip or pumpkin.

I see the Times is running a story that the FA are facing a "complex legal and financial battle'" to get Redknapp out of his contract. Maybe he is trying to make it easier for them?

What message does this send out to the squad? Basically, it's ok to fail because it's not really failing because we shouldn't really be doing this well in the first place. It's such a loser's mentality but the only reason he says it is to try and paint himself in the best positive light. Obviously thinks we are as thick as he is. I am counting down the days until this self serving twit is out of our football club.
