Personally I think the acoustics will be great if this is the final solution. I doubt the roof will be glass from a cost point of view, but that would look stunning.

Camaj, i did try to point out that the FIFA doc was only an extract from the spec, to show conformity. And as I'm sure you realise, designs are always changing. Its not that different to the first one anyway. Apart from the roof of course.

Hmm, all I see is one pdf from Phillips about lighting and one of the east/west stand that's similar to the last one. I don't understand why there are two different designs for those stands

I think the Phillips one isnt really a design of our stadium, just the solution for the floodlights.

East/West stand one really gave me a great feeling, though I couldnt really figure out the roofthing. Any ideas, SLS?

Am really optimistic, but a bit concerned that we havent got any a bit more developed/sophisticated images. Would be surprised if it weren't a tentative model with much more details than what we have seen. However, that might only be available to a few people in the firm, to ensure that they wont be all over the press in no time....

I'm sure you are right, the glass would be very expensive. The roof is such a major factor in the stadium, in terms of design, acousitcs, lighting (which looks good on the plans). Also this one shows the distance to the playing area, although I assume that is just speculative as the pitch size can surely be chosen later.

Not to throw cold water on any of this - because this ITK is a damn site better than most rumours. However, it says on the West Stand "Diamond Club". Isn't that the elite prawn sandwich club at the Emirates for Arsenal?
