Thus far Barca have asked to take Felix with a loan + option but Atleti ether want an obligation or outright sale. Selling Felix is likely what’s holding up their PEH move. I think you’re possibly right tho that Atleti may well cave last min as they have zero room to manoeuvre due to Felix only wanting Barca. There’s no possibility Felix staying so it’s a little bit of a game of chicken. Ether Felix agrees to go elsewhere or Atleti agree to an option. If Felix goes to Barca then they will have to get rid of a forward (most likely Fati) regardless the deal structure.
Really good post, completely agree mate. 👍

Can't we sign him and link him to knee's over toes guy on youtube. Restore him back to full ability

I want us to sign him and for everything to align so that he regains his confidence and blossom again but the risk...

Barca really hurt him by increasing his workload, they messed up Dembele too (put him on a suboptimal training regime).

maybe this was a made up thing, but didn't Felix like buy himself out of his contract and was looking for a new team as a free agent or something crazy like that. Could've swore something weird with him happened. But, cmon Barca, pull another one of those Leavers and sign Felix for money from Athleti.

Looking at his stats his injury issues were 2020-2022, last year he made 50 appearances and scored 10 goals. If it was up to me I'd take the punt on him over Johnson, even with possible HG issues.

I don't particularly rate Johnson but I'd take him every time over a player with one properly functional knee.

I just watched a 2023 highlights reel on Youtube and there was some really nice skill in there. Other than that I know nothing about him but if he could replicate the highlights on a regular basis here he'd become a fan favourite.

Could he come in as a poacher striker instead of a winger? Fro. What limited I’ve seen of him his finishing is incredible. And the positional change would aid his questionable injury concerns

It's probably the position that would make most sense in this system. He's not one who plays wide left. He's very much an inside forward. Explosive with the ball at his feet and could be well suited as a centre forward. With Udogie infield it would make more sense to play Son, Perisic or Gil wide. Even Son is a push really as he's also better inside. For me Johnson makes more sense as we need someone outside on the right more.

I remember not wanting Ousmane Dembele because of his injury record and then he had one of the best runs of his career (Paratici almost got another good one). Not sure about this one, seems risky but with huge potential.

Yeah good shout on Dembele . There was widespread disapproval of a potential deal for him.

I’m not convinced, in that
1. I don’t think he actually wants to leave Barca
2. Even if he does, are we on his list of desirable destinations
3. If all the above aligns, will we end up with a bloke who misses more games than he plays.
4. Do we even need another LW, or can he play right or centrally??

Only way I see this happening is a deadline day loan with option if all other avenues turn to dead ends.
