His knee is not crocked. He literally tore his meniscus which is a very common injury in all sport. The problem was instead of just removing the portion of damaged meniscus, which most professional athletes do, he attempted to have it repaired. The repair of a meniscus is a much longer rehab but is better down the road when you get older and wear and tear. Fati’s issue was the repair didn’t heal right and he kept going back to same surgeon and had a total of three operations to have it repaired. The repair never worked and he ended up just having it removed. Again, a partial meniscus removal is an extremely common knee surgery in athletes. There are NFL players who have it done in season and are playing again in 1-2 weeks. His knee is fine.
His knee also seemed fine when he slid 🛝 one into our net 🥅 in pre season 😅

Not surprising. Barca need it done asap if they hope to get Felix
Seeing as Mendes is involved, and the best case scenario for him is that both Fati & Felix get their moves, I think this likely actually gets done.

Mendes more often times than not gets his way. At least this time it's seemingly to our benefit.

Surely he wants to come to Spurs because we perfected the “He’s only got one knee” chant.

If he’s half as good as Ledley he’ll be fine by me.

Why don’t Barca want him anymore?…
Barcelona are insane, I don’t think we can read much into it, with them signing players they can’t register, and desperately trying to shift players they only just got. Feels like they are desperately spinning plates and trying to outrun the impact of previous bad decisions. I am guessing that selling Fati would help their Spanish league FFP more than most if they didn’t pay any money for him in the first place?

Good post with accurate info until the very last four words. The effects of his injury and the attempts to fix it were severe. They've permanently robbed him of his explosive pace and compromised what he can do physically. That's not fine.

As long as Ange has won the player over and he is not secretly holding out for Chelsea/Arsenal a la Diaz with Liverpool.

Based on what the likes of Maddison and VDV have said about Ange I actually think it's quite possible.

Mendes suddenly becomes a major asset if he needs to move Fati and Felix to their preferred options this window.

If he still had his explosive pace he'd probably be Barcelona's best player by now.

Looking at the goals he scored last season he's still no slouch. Seems to have the instincts to make well timed runs and can clearly finish well.

Pochettino is preparing for a late flurry of activity before Friday’s deadline and Chelsea have also considered a move to sign Barcelona’s Ansu Fati.

Ye but I think he’s probs gonna be right
Fully prepared for us to only get one, not because I think we wouldn’t want both but because this late in the window we only ever seem to complete half the deals we attempt at best. Getting neither still seems like a real possibility.
