How utterly embarrassing. Pretty clear we sold our captain and best player with absolutely no clue how to replace him, and are now running around the market trying a failing to pick up a few bargains.

Sooner Levy has fucked off the better. Sick of seeing rivals showing proper ambition whilst we take one step forward and two steps back every summer.
.....Or we spent £60m on a replacement a year before we sold him?

there was never going to be replacing Kane with players. It should've been a couple of highly touted youngsters, but man oh man, we aint get shit. He will hide again after not getting anything over the line again and just fire Ange the second it gets toxic again because this is what he does.

Really hard to argue with any of this, but I’m sure some will 🤣

A loan with a right to buy may have made some sense; a straight loan wouldn't. Fati may help Brighton in the short term (and fair play to them for that) and it may help Barcelona in the long term, in terms of valuation.

For us, I'm not even sure he ever fitted our profile, given his injury history.

So with that - bullet dodged.

Yes! This is my point. Fati would have been a short term gap filler. It wouldn't have solved any of our structural problems. Brighton don't have structural problems. A straight loan works for them in a way it might not have for us. We can't progress properly until our squad is fit for purpose.
Valid point! What if Fati's goals and assists pushed us up the league? We're looking at both short-term (next 36 games) and 2-3 years ahead.

Levy's caution resembles an insurance broker's risk approach. Fati on loan makes sense as a low-risk option.

Relying on Johnson is a gamble, given his unproven track record. Two players might have eased the risk of losing Kane.

What makes me more angry is his arrogance to fuck with transfers

Surely anybody at the club working on the deal would know that Levy would never sign off on any deal that didn't include an option to buy. Unless I'm picking it up wrong but that seems to be what the ITK suggests happened.
