Wow, did you have a fiver on that, SS?

Should have!

He was moaning about it earlier in the week, to temper the fuss over Martial's 2 in 2 start. It actually seemed quite positive to me, playing down Martial's achievements and bigging up a preferred player.

I guess today proved Jose's point, so I don't think his or Utd's stance will have changed. I just think this ship has sailed due to simply being too much of a longshot in the first place.

Hercules just posted in the itk thread that Levy has a big decision to make to pay the money for a forward. I reckon it's Martial, can't see who else it is when he says Poch wants pace.

So who is the pacey forward that Levy has the chance to buy if he stumps up the money?
Herc also said something about a player in Italy who could cost us 50 mil. That's quite a lot for Levy I would say. Ultimately, we have no idea, but I just don't see Martial coming to us. He started this weekend and if he is getting games and goals why would Jose want him gone and why would he want to leave.

Perisic will do then- easily £50m :)

Gareth Bale ;)

Seriously though, getting really bored of seeing people telling others not to discuss this transfer or that one because it's unrealistic, or because they think it won't happen. It's like they are preemptively getting ready to tell everyone they told them so when the window shuts.

Well big whoop.

Watching Bale for RM at the moment. He's looked very ordinary especially as Ronaldo is not playing. I thought he'd be more involved now Ronaldo is banned. Asensio has been fantastic.

With Janssen potentially leaving (check his thread, there's some interesting info from a Stoke ITK), and with Herc saying that Poch wants a 'flexible' forward player, the only one I can think of from Italy who can play across the forward line is Patrik Schick. He absolutely fits the bill, but he has many suitors, including Roma who have been strongly linked with him over the past few days.

Asensio apparently has a 75 mil euro release clause. If we are really willing to spend silly money (which I doubt we are) I would take a long look at him. The boy is incredible. Will be one of the best Spanish players in the world in a few years. Not that he would leave even if we did bid, Zizi gives him enough game time.

£24m quoted. Fairly reasonable.

More chance Origi than Martial, as things stand. And Origi just an inquiry at this stage, but we have interest.

Asensio has scored a sublime opening goal tonight. 20 years old and running the game. Isco and Bale have gone off but Asensio is still on.Yep, we're never getting him unfortunately
