Don't take that out on us, mate.frankly I can't be fucked.

Your stats didn't save mate
I would imagine end product is still heavily in Martial's favour. Zaha has improved in this area but he is woefully inconsistent in the goals and assists. With his ability he should do a lot better.
Everyone should read this post. Fantastic.
IMO Levy has run the club brilliantly, and he and Poch have done wonders to get us to where we are. Not all our transfers work out, but that's true for all clubs.
The crux of it is, as you say, the balance we have to strike to ensure that we remain as competitive as possible while operating within our means and with an eye on the future. The media go on and on about our wage cap and Levy's negotiating style, but often ignore that fact that we are operating on much lower revenue than any of the other big six clubs.
Yet, despite that, have a team regularly featuring in the top four and CL; several players would attract enormous fees is available; a world class training facility; very soon, a world class new stadium. And no huge debt or stability problems.
Bags of potential. I think he'd improve elsewhere, to what level, couldn't guess. Is he really all that?? I’m not sure
I’m saying Mourinho here, while he has played a good number of games he hasn’t really had a decent run, still scored 7 league goals.
Thanks for the confirmation pal.Martial is grossly overhyped he scores the odd spectacular goal and contributes little in team play and almost nil in defensive situation.
Townsend scored the odd special goal but always did his defensive work.
Just to confirm this man is overhyped if he was as good as some are saying he would be starting forManUnt
Comedy.Townsend scored the odd special goal but always did his defensive work.
Agree mate. Definitely Mourinho that's not getting the best out of him in my opinion.
What i like about Rashford is his work ethic and determination. Sounds like he stays on after training well after the others have left, now that doesn't guarantee that he's going to be world class, but given his attributes at such a young age i think it sets him up to get there.
Would love him at Spurs, will never happen! Rashford is their Kane.
This is the martial thread and id have him at Spurs all day long. Was gutted when he went to ManYoo a few years back.
Get it done baldman
You've failed to acknowledge that Poch may want him gone.Royally ticked off at the way United leak these stories to ManU correspondents at outlets like ESPN that they "won't" sell Martial to a premier league rival but are "confident" of obtaining Alderweireld from that same rival. These stories promote their agenda almost as much as the actual transfer itself, signaling to the entire world that if Alderweireld is sold for cash, they got exactly what they wanted and forced our hand and that we had no choice because we're a club that has to sell. They are demoralizing to supporters and signal to the squad that whenever they want to move up North for a big pay day all they have to do is let the contract run down a bit, and Spurs are all talk about keeping players and not strengthening rivals.
50M is only 25M above the release clause next summer and that extra 25M is a valuable investment in the experienced depth Toby would provide next season and sends a strong message to United and the football world that we're moving on and will look to players to honor their contracts. Whether Martial would improve our lineup almost doesn't even matter to me. It's about pride and reputation. No 25M payment, especially in today's transfer market, should ever be worth the damage to both for us. I hope Levy can see that.
You could absolutely be right. I understand there has been ITK that he has burned bridges. I haven't heard anything to the effect that he's a cancer in the locker room, but certainly that could be a possibility. You've failed to acknowledge that Poch may want him gone.

But if the point of the transfer is that Poch wants him gone, and not that we want to squeeze an extra 20M or so out of him above the summer 2019 release clause, why would we ever sell him to a title rival? And, in particular, a rival that purposely tries to portray us as a weak, selling club that they are above dealing with every single transfer window?
If the point is just to have him gone, I'm sure it wouldn't be a problem to find a landing spot. Hell, loan him back to Athletico for a season. To me, selling to Man United strongly suggests this is about cash in hand, not the locker room.
It all seems pretty simple from my position of having zero knowledge of how these types of deals work in the real world. They agree to sell us Martial or we refuse to deal with them over Toby. The idea that no other club in world football would want one of the best centre backs in the world is just not believable, so worst case scenario is that we sell him for less money to someone else.
I personally think Martial could be one of the best players in the world given the right coaching and opportunity.
No, I said the exact opposite. They either agree to sell us Martial or else we won't deal with them over Toby - basically if they won't sell us Martial, we won't sell them Toby. You think Martial could be one of the best players in the world but you're willing to miss out on him if we refuse to sell them Toby who could join them or anyone else in 12 months for less? Makes no sense to me.
