But we'll only buy one of them.

A CAM had to be the top priority mate. It doesn't matter how excellent our wingers/forwards/strikers are if we can't even get them the ball in effective positions. But I think you very well may end up happy, as I don't think we're done with Eriksen, Lamela, and Chiriches.

I will say though, with Sociedad making Champs League this guy would be a very difficult grab. The club wouldn't want to see him go and he'd value the opportunity in a WC year.

Personally, i would like this fella to come to WHL and be a lilywhite.....but i think it would be difficult with their involvements in UCL. However, if Spurs manage to pull this off, it would be an excellent coup. COYS!!!

Tough group for them though with United, Shakhtar, and Leverkusen. Funny that the three teams other than United appear to be of similar quality. My guess is United plus one of the other three though you never know. Shakhtar and Leverkusen are both tough matches.

Agreed, but all that makes them even less willing to sit at a table over one of their best players, and is all the same to him in furthering his prospects for making France's roster next summer.

Man, hypothetically speaking, Griezmann (starting at LW/LWF with Chadli as backup) would make us the most complete attacking core in the PL, imho.
Title contention would be in discussion for sure.

PS. Btw, did anyone see his UCL goal last week in the 1st leg against Lyon? It was absolutely disgusting! (y)

I agree that Spurs are looking to make things happen this season......i believe they are taking both the BPL and Europa League seriously (This would be a dress rehearsals for UCL next season) and improve on last season. My bet that the aim is to be at least top 3 in BPL and to reach Europa Cup final this season. Maybe even to reach at least the Semi in both Cups.......The Future is Bright, The Future is Lilywhite!!! Yup, hope he is in our radar too! :)

Yeah, Thauvin is talented indeed, but still very raw (and very young). Griezmann is more of a finished product (although even he still has an upside at 22). It's scary to think what kinda footballer Griezmann can develop into (under proper tutelage).
Pep Guardiola praised his talents/abilities back in the day, and that's an accomplishment in itself.

The only downside to Griezmann is that he is another left footer. We would have a abundance of left footers if we get Rodrigo as well. I would still love him tho and hope there is some truth to our interest.

I know it's very unlikely but...

Soldado
Griezmann - Eriksen - Lamela
Sandro - Paulinho

In the immortal words of Ruud Gullit I think that front 4 would be the true definition of sexy football. I'm so hoping that all the ITK about a further signing and paying a buyout clause is about Griezman.

30 million Euros is a bit spicy though! Haven't seen too much of him and don't get me wrong he's very good but I don't think he's on Lamelas level?

Think he looks every bit as good as Lamela tbh, though I haven't seen more than a couple of games where Sociedad has featured.

That bit in bold is spot on, imho.
Griezmann is an incredible young talent (much like Lamela).
In fact, I can't think of a more potent, dynamic, and explosive young LW(F) - RW(F) pairing (hypothetically of course) in the EPL.
I'm salivating at the possibility of seeing both of them on either flank (with Eriksen or Holtby lining up centrally, behind Soldier in a 4-2-3-1). That's a very dangerous attacking core, if there ever was one!

COYS

PS. Although Griezmann would have to play on the left (as a conventional left-footer), whereas Lamela would be "inverted" Right Winger.

Well if its a go-er potentially our front three mids would be 21, 21, 22 with Chadli (24), Holtby (almost 23) and Townshend (22) as backup! Not to mention Lennon (26), Sigurdsson (almost 24) and Carroll (21)! Sorted for next 5 years easily. What a transfer window

Griezmann caught partying
By Football Espana staff
Antoine Griezmann is facing disciplinary action from the French Football Federation for being caught partying between Under-21 matches this week.
The Real Sociedad attacker and four other members of the junior side have been found to have been out at a nightclub in Paris on Saturday, the night after their side’s Under-21 play-off first-leg win over Norway.
Griezmann and his teammates then returned to the training camp before being included in preparations for the second leg, which was played this Tuesday.
Griezmann came off the bench to score for Les Espoirs in that reverse tie in Norway, but could not prevent the 5-3 defeat on the night that saw the French unable to qualify for next summer’s European Championship in Israel.
Erick Mombaerts has left his position today as the Under-21s’ Coach, with it speculated that his decision not to punish Griezmann and company for their foray to the French capital over the weekend thought to be a contributing factor as to why.
Subsequently, speculation is that Griezmann is now facing a possible disciplinary procedure from the FFF.
