Personally I’d put Kane on for Ali as the 10, Son for Burgervan, and Hojbjerg for Winks.

On paper the toughest game in the group, and so far looks like we took a few too many liberties with the team selection.

Lloris starts in goal, but then you have a makeshift centreback pairing, really only one proper midfielder, Lo Celso short of fitness and minutes, Alli short of minutes, Bale short of fitness and minutes, a couple of raw noobs in Vinicius and Bergwijn trying to step up and bed in to the team. There's too many either feeling their way into it, or just outright passengers.

With three games in six days once again rotation was inevitable, and maybe longer term some of these needed and will benefit from the run out, but looks a bit too disjointed tonight thus far.

And towards the end of the half there we had collapsed as a unit, our midfielders sunk into the defence, 50 yards then to our attacking quartet, and resorting to aimless punts forward and the ball just falling for Antwerp to gather inside our half and go again at us.

Gotta get much better.

Dele is about as useful as a chocolate teapot. Coasts through games far too often to be considered anything more than a decent player.

That’s exactly what he’s doing tonight. Had a lively first ten minutes (making wrong choices) but then disappeared.

Pathetic first half. Apart from Sid, who's been isolated, none of them seem to want to cement a place in the side. Bale needs our best around him, otherwise he's just a passenger.

I actually think bale has been ok, but some of the play in the final third is really very poor (Vinicius aside).

The problem is with lo celso and winks are full backs can't push up and it leaves us very narrow.

Hate seeing players not make the most of their opportunities. They've got into some decent positions, but the final ball or shot has been shite. Davies has had a game and a half to forget. And Bergwijn has had a fucking shocking half. If it ain't happening for him going forward, he better put some effort in on the defensive side.

Has to get better in the 2nd half.

Aurier is playing really deep by his own standards. Seems odd to me.

He's getting nothing from bale in defence and winks is not sissoko, so he kinda has to be cautious

Bergwijn hasn't impressed me at all since signing.

He did for a few games and I thought he looked like a proper player. Not so much recently though. He has a lot of work to do.

Bale is spending too much time back in our midfield. Probably because we don't seem to have any midfielders playing. Winks and Dele off. PEH and any other midfielder on and push lo celso a bit further forward to link the midfield and the front three.

Not enough movement or energy which has stemmed from the front 3 and Dele.

Bale, whilst undoubtedly talented and getting up to speed, can really be a lazy git!

Dele has been anonymous and should have utilised the space an awful lot better.

Also this is why we need another DM, Winks is not a DM, never has been and never will be
