We're not selling Lennon. At least, we really fucking shouldn't.

i agree, but we should be buying in another RM, not only to cover for Lennon when he is injured or off form, but some competition might atchaly push him on more, just now i cant really see anyone in the team who is or will challange Lennon for RM spot

Are we building a squad or getting rid of all the players who offer a little bit extra ? Let's get rid of Berbatov, Keane, Lennon , King, Huddlestone, Jenas. No problem. Let's keep Bent , Zokora , Dawson ,Ohara , Chimbomba , Boateng. Then we can have another 3 transition years. In the Championship.

I reckon if we sign Capel :)pray:) than Steed will need to be found a new home so he would provide the competition needed to give Lennon a kick up the ass, as this was where he played at Fulham I believe to good effect!

I can't believe you lot sometimes. Lennon is the only player we have who runs at people and scares them. You have to take the roughwith the smooth with wingers. They will not always beat their man especially when double teamed, but Lennon has shown this season that he is a valuable member of our squad. Just go back and watch our best 4 or 5 victories over the last 2 seasons. Chelsea final, Arsenal semi, chelsea home last season. Lennon played his part in all. Go back and watch the Arsenal 5-1. It was Lennon's magnificant through ball for keane that clinched the game and his own goal which nailed it.Go back to ManC away in the qtr it was Lennon who won the game with two great pieces of play. He's 20 FFS. Has wright-phillips or Pennant had better seasons ? Get a grip. Ifwe find a better RW then brilliant but until we do he's one of the most vital pieces of our squad.

By the way, Keane is a Liverpool fan.

I find myself agreeing with all your posts today , BC. Lennon is worth having in our squad because he scares the opposition with his pace and close control. He occupies 2 markers even when he is not on song. I have seen several occasions when he has been taken off for a more defensive player and instantly the balance of the game changes. Chelsea in the Cup last year being the best example. Also remember the 5-1 semi, we were terrorising them at 4-0 and then for 20 minutes and 2 defensive subs and no outlet they came at us , pulled one back and for a while we were uncomfortable. But then we can always stick Hudd on the wing can't we ?

Lennon was exciting yesterday, beat their LB for fun a few times, just a shame the fact that they put 3 men on him didn't alert some of our other players to capitalise on that extra space.

Although when Lennon did lose the ball he was a lazy ****.

Lennon proved on Saturday why he is so important. He scared the life out of them and linked well with Hutton. He also showed that despite criticisms of his crossing, he CAN beat a man and find a striker, just as he did for the goal.
He is still gaining experience, but I think he'll improve dramatically next season.

I don't see any footballing reason to get rid of him. If his off field attitude is the issue then that is different.

I agree with all of the above, he has huge potential and relly could become a world class winger aslong as he keeps his pace for a few years. But I found myself getting angry with him a few times on saturday, as like Kendall says when he lost the ball he was a Lazy **** at least 3 times in the second half.
Also Im hoping the rumours about his nightclub binges are only rumours as if he becomes a 'big time Charlie' We no option but to sell

Lennon must stay and be part of the Ramos revolution.
Many fans write off players that were good and proved it but because of injuries and a bad season writes them off.
I would say the same thing about Dawson too!!!
Give them one more season to re-prove themselves!!!

Lennon is class. Said it before even when he was being slaughtered on here cos of a few bad games and dodgy crosses. We MUST keep him!

Where's the evidence for this?

All I've seen is a few pics on facebook of him out with his bro & mates. Are we seriously expecting that a 20 year old has no life outside of football?
