He seems to have a problem with his knee hasn't he injured it twice before since he's been with us?

If true. Good to see AVB told us all it was nothing serious and was just ’a knock' even though there wasn't another player within 20 yards of him when he went down....

Very sad

Iirc he said he felt a knock, as in the possible pop of the ligament but on later inspection wasnt as bad as first feared. I dont think you can be sure either way at that stage. He may have had a subsequent mri to check. Terrys knee buckled and didnt require surgery.

Aa I said wait and see.

Good scenario:
Sandro minor knock, available for Man Utd

Bad Scenario:
Sandro misses the Man Utd game, out for weeks

Nightmare Scenario:
Sandro out for 6 months, we get nobody in Jan Transfer window to replace, Livermore stays.

For all this hard man talk, the lad does get injuries a lot. Hamstrings/groins.

Its the position and all action attitude he plays with. Its because he gives it his all that he will always get injuries.

It goes with the territory. Our most famous hard man of all time broke his leg a few times.

Yeah... that Dave Mackay sure did get a lot of injuries for a "hard man" - the big pussy!!!

This is the thing about ligament injurys, I have done mine (ACL) twice while playing rugby. First time my studs stuck in the ground meaning my lower leg couldn't rotate but the top of the leg rotated the ligaments took the strain to a certain point but I rotated further than the ligament can take and heard an almighty "POP", on my arse I went. Second time I was running flat out down the rugby park, player tried to side step me I tried to go with him but as I tried to push off my planted leg "POP", "CRUNCH", it litterally felt like the top of my leg had slid down to my shin, I done my cartaledge that time too. The pain was like nothing I ever felt before much worse than a broken bone. Both times I had no contact with any other players, it ducking sucks.

I said in the match thread it looked like a ligament injury, the fact that he walked offis a very good sign but its anyones guess.

see if he is out for a while, play Vertonghen in midlfield, and get in Toby Alderweireld for the defence.

According to the physio room he's due back on sunday. They're usually quite accurate (i.e. they update regularly as they receive news) although i don't know where they receive their info from.

http://www.physioroom.com/news/english_premier_league/epl_injury_table.php

That was probably just from AVB's comment after the QPR game.

I just had a slight glimmer of hope with the mention of MRI above in that maybe that Aggro Santos guy thinks an MRI is surgery and got confused

I assume the club is remaining so tight lipped on the news as it effects our bargaining for midfielders in the transfer window?

Or, it may just be that until they have a look inside the knee they won't know exactly what's wrong. :cautious:

Not a few times, but the same leg twice in 6 months.

Yeah I kinda remembered as I pressed the post button and was too lazy to edit it. He broke it in a few places, twice. But my point is unchanged. Lol

POTL on COYS

Update:

Going to have to have a look further into the knee, MRI and other scans are proving inconclusive.

Unfortanately at this point, it is not looking very positive. However, nothing conclusive to give an accurate diagnosis. Obviously out for the weekend, fingers crossed for the lad.
