I know what's going on here.

Sandro's knees are so hard that the mri machine is intimidated and doesn't want to look directly at the knees for fear of upsetting them.

Looking at the footage I'd be surprised if he's ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament. It looks like he twisted his right knee when he mis-kicked the ball. However, he did look in extreme pain. Hopefully won't be out for a long time.

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!! Always before we play Man Utd too. We never have a full team against them. Terrible news if he's out long term. Get well soon beast.

Not good news from potl, but I've still got my fingers crossed that it's not a season ending injury. Does sound like though that he needs an arthroscopy to have a butchers at whats wrong.

knowing our medical team though, it will probably take them 6 months to diagnose the injury.

I'm gonna go back and have a look at the footage again and see what the Physio did. Generally if you have done your ACL significantly it's fairly easily identified from physical exam. If the Physio suspected it, I'd be surprised if he'd let him walk down the tunnel. But if needs surgery, I'd say realistically his season may be over.

If it was serious the club would know, more likely its a rupture which will need rest and immobilisation. My educated guess is 4-6 weeks before he can train again. We're looking at 2 months out, and he'll be back for the run in.

However if the club know its serious (tear) and are concealing it, maybe they're searching for a reinforcement without being held to ransom by the selling club..

Horrific news but we have as good a replacement as we could wish for in the fit and rested SCOTTY.

If Sandro will be out long term I'd like us to take a look at Sissoko or M'Vila as cheap replacements who'd still bring quality and are good players for the future when Parker retires.
