It's clear that the queueing system isn't actually a queue, it's just a lottery, I joined at 8:10 and still only on 5.6

HelloActually it's quite interesting. The page very rarely actually communicates with the server. I think it loads with a guess at how long you'll have to wait and then checks again much later to see how you're actually doing. This is why it sometimes bumps you back (its initial guess was too optimistic).
The thing is, if it initially makes a very pessimistic guess you will get stuck for ages without getting through and people who got a more optimistic guess in the first place will get through ahead of you.
Every minute or so, I open a new tab and paste the ticket office address and I move forward around a stage each time. At stage 14 at the moment.
